Hi ! We were passing by, looking for a restaurant with vegan food and the waiter at the entrance was very aware and kind about proposing different satisfying options for us (even if there are already a few vegan dishes in it already). There was a nice contact and the food was very good. We were treated with care and simplicity. Keep it up! Teşekkürler ! 👋🏻

Absolutely delicious! They were very accommodating to my gluten allergy and provided me with gluten free bread and made sure I knew what was gluten free on the menu. My boyfriend had a chicken dish that he absolutely loved (and he’s a picky eater). Excellent service! 10/10 would recommend

In an area of countless restaurants, most of them probably OK, it needs a bit of extra effort to stand out. Amedros is one that has held on to its reputation, judging by on-line comments and guides.
Like most of the places around here, there are outside tables. Nice places to sit and watch the world go by, while overhead heating keeps the February chill at bay - at bit too much at bay perhaps for an Englishman more accustomed to cold, but local sensibilities must be allowed for.
There is a chef's special which turned out to be a kind of beef and chicken casserole with rice. And a lot of interesting veg, herbs and spices.
Starter was octopus salad. A large octopus it must have been too. No problem with that from this quarter. The usual bread and olives provided. All washed down with Efes beer and even a glass of raki to finish (powerful stuff, approach with caution). Fortunately the hotel was not far away. And the staff continue to be friendly even after you have sat down. Altogether, a very pleasant evening.

This restaurant is a perfect cafe with amazing food and very, very friendly staff especially Apo and Shamshek. When you are here look for Apo (real name Abdullah). It was great having a chat with him and they were so kind to offer us complimentary turkish tea and apple tea. 5 stars for this little gem of a place.

The waiter was great when we first arrived, very attentive and helpful. The starters were OK, nothing special though. The main meal was overcooked and the chicken especially was really dry. Once we were almost finished with our main meal the waiter disappeared, appearing briefly to clear away our plates once we had finished and then didn't reappear. We were hoping to order desert, but after sitting at the table and waiting for over 30-minutes for him to reappear we decided it wasn't worth waiting for, and had to find a waiter to ask for the bill. It showed such promise to start with, but rapidly went downhill and spoilt the experience - our last night in the city and the worst customer service and disappointing food of the whole trip.

What can you say about a place that was as perfect as this. From the greeter whose name I don’t recall who we met the evening before and remembered. Not pushy just really nice. We said we would come back and we did. Great choice on waiter Hakim was not afraid to offer suggestions and tell when we chose something we would like something different and not just because of price. The wine he suggested while expensive was as fine as any we had before. It was Turkish and we were reticent. No reason. Traditional dishes were prepared exquisitely and tasted the same. Our other server who called himself Frodo because we couldn’t pronounce is name was charming. We had a group of American Afghani mother, daughters and niece next to us who made the visit even more fun. Yes, it is expensive but the service, wine and food was one of the best we have had in along time. We are seasoned travelers. Go there and be happy. Don’t be afraid to be the first or second table the place will fill up over time. One of the nicest alleys filled with restaurants.

Person that greeted me knew well about veganism, advised on the menu.
Overall experience was very pleasant, the staff was kind, music lively - different types of latin american and Spanish
Vegan dishes were - appetizers and salads, and a page of vegetarian dishes, some of which contain cheese but can me made without all animal products.
The dish in a clay pot is tasty and also comes with a theatrical delivery.
Would like to visit again

It’s in the more touristy area so the prices are a little higher but the food is really worth it. It’s freshly cooked and the vegetarian casserole is simply amazing! Taste is on point. Staff an manager are really polite.

Not only do they have gf bread but they are very much aware of what it means to cook gf. They modified the lamb kabab dish I ordered by substituting their vermicelli rice with Turkish white rice …. Instead of the fries which is coated with flour, they provided a seasoned piece of baked potato. Lamb was great and their prices are very reasonable. You won’t be disappointed.

This is a great place where you can get amazing food. I have celiac disease and the wonderful staff made sure I got a gluten free meal, gluten free bread as well as a gluten free desert. I am thrilled. The food is pefrect. The restaurant is clean and tidy. The atmosphere is beuatiful. Music is the medicine for the soul, and in the end I did not meet the kinder staff in Istanbul. They are fast, kind and knowledgeable.
Specail greeting to the fisherman from Alanya.
Amedros see you again!!!

We initially chose this restaurant because it gave a dedicated Gluten Free menu, but found that many other dishes were gluten free with a little adjustment. The staff are all friendly and helpful which makes the dining experience that much more of a delight. The food was hot and full of flavour, with plenty to choose from and we went back a again as I wanted to try another of their dishes, everyone will be able to find good food at reasonable cost here

I spent a week in Istanbul and I stayed in Sultanahmet area. I tried several restaurants during the first few days, but I never went anywhere else after eating at Amedros. The food is spectacular and all 9 dishes that I ended up eating were amazing! The staff was incredibly nice including manager Ugur and host Hasim. I cannot recommend Amedros enough, and I urge all visitors in the area to experience this culinary treat!

The food was amazing! Great place for the family, especially if one of you needs gluten free food as they have a whole separate menu. The server was very accommodating, always serving with a smile and making sure we had everything we needed.

Lovely meal in a cozy atmosphere next to an open fire with attentive, friendly service. The Testi Kebab served in a clay pot was delighful. It arrived in a dramatic fashion - nestled in a mound of burning salt. The waiter carefully tapped the top of the pot to break the seal and reveal a mixture of lamb, mushrooms and peppers. We also had the Harem Special, which was a surprising combination of lamb, walnuts and pomegranate juice. The mezze starter and baklava for dessert did not disappoint. Can highly recommend this restaurant.

Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
