Anyone with an Instagram account has seen pictures of Seven Hills, not to have one of the best views of the city!
It is a restaurant, serving Turkish food, fish and seafood grills, and a rooftop with panoramic views (free entry), so if you want to simply drink a Turkish coffee, take photos and enjoy the view is a great option.
The food was good, yet more expensive and less tasty than other restaurants; the service equally less attentive than other restaurants we visited, still worth the experience.
Because it is very well known, if you want to have a typical Turkish breakfast or dinner, you must make Reservation.

Seven Hills Restaurant is an absolute gem in Istanbul! As first-time visitors, my wife and I were looking for a place to enjoy a memorable meal with an amazing view, and this restaurant exceeded all our expectations.
The rooftop terrace offers one of the best panoramic views in the city! We had a perfect view of Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, and the Bosphorus, creating an unforgettable dining atmosphere, especially during sunset. The scenery alone is worth the visit!
The food was absolutely delicious. We tried the seafood platter, which was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The grilled sea bass was especially outstanding—light, flaky, and full of taste. The meze selection was also a great start to the meal, with every dish offering authentic Turkish flavors.
Service was warm and professional. The staff was attentive, friendly, and always ready to offer recommendations. They made us feel welcome and ensured that we had a fantastic experience.
Overall, Seven Hills Restaurant is a must-visit for anyone in Istanbul. Whether you’re here for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the combination of delicious food, excellent service, and breathtaking views makes it an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended!

The best way to get an iconic view of the Blue Mosque is from a restaurant rooftop- it's hard to get an overall view at street level- and this might just be the best place to do it. They let you go up to the terrace for the view and to also feed the seagulls (if you want) for free, though I ordered a drink just as a thank you. There's free bread and other food out on a special table, along with skewers, so you can feed the seagulls. I've seen others complain about the seagulls but I thought it was awesome, a really cool tradition! And the views are magnificent of the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and the Bosphorous. Highly recommended!

Stay away! The restaurant has a nice view, but the food is extremely expensive and extremely poor. We were served semi-cold food at a high price that was no better than the cheap restaurants nearby. When billing, we were pressured to pay 10% in drinks because it was "recommended" - without the service in any way living up to it.
Say no to these tourist traps, which live from people dropping by and critically accepting poor food and service because of the view.

Frankly, it's too much, a brunch that really isn't worth it. 620 lirat is excessive and it's not great. In short, you just pay for the location, there are restaurants that offer much cheaper and more consistent options. seven hill he offers you 1 slice of apple per person 1 sausage per person 1 egg per person 1 soufflé per person it's real grevar 620 lira damn be at least generous in the proportions!!!!!!!!

Someone is taking the piss ... the prices are beyond outrageous even for Istanbul
We had 2 draft beers each and 2 cold mezze and it was TL1,700 (US$50; EUR45). To be clear, the mezze were tasty but each dish was maybe 10 cm in diameter, the bread was sliced white bread, stale and booorrring (how can you get bad bread in Istanbul??? where was the puffy bread????) and most places of this "calibre" provide a complimentary bottle of water.
We chose to pass on the 7 squid rings for 960 TL ($27; $4/ring????) and the small butter shrimp appetizer for 980 TL ($30). We've enjoyed the same hot mezze for 650 TL and 780 TL respectively at a GREAT restaurant ... only difference was a lovely courtyard instead of a roof top view.
So the view is indeed great but the food was way out of whack on quality to price. What saddens me is that it feels like gouging. Prices are already high in Turkey compared to say Greece and these guys are over the top.
Also, despite the great view and sea breeze, the smell of cooking fish was heavy as the exhaust from the kitchen is, you guessed it wafting over the terrace.
You have a great spot, lift your game on quality of food and pricing as you don't really want to be the place where two people come and split a single coca cola whilst they enjoy the view, now do you? Table next to ours.
And before the manager thinks to suggest that "this is reasonable for restaurants of this quality" as has been previously stated - nah - had better food elsewhere for less. As a previous reviewer stated "a view does not make a restaurant".

Good what to say... there is a superb view between Sulthanameth Mosque, Saint Sophie and the Bosphorus, probably one of the most beautiful terraces of the old town. Otherwise the rest is very mediocre and expensive. The service is disastrous, not a word not a smile. You are served frozen white bread with mezzes, half of which are missing from the menu. We ship you the meal in 30 minutes. It’s even the only restaurant we’ve made that doesn’t offer tea. The view doesn't deserve that. Fuyez

I don't understand why they catalogue it. I eat very good. Mal
Service, we started by ordering a humus and returned it because it was an unflavored dough, the old white bread. As a main course a large fish to share , we were announced 120 Gr but when they bring it broken into pieces we realize that it was smaller, watch that the value was 6000 lire . At the restaurant comes people for the view of the terrace which is spectacular. The only rescueable thing. Then people arrive for a beer and the restaurant full and finally those who eat dinner leave us the worst placed tables. I wouldn't go back to this restaurant! Final count 4,500 lire and that's why we made the weight claim of the fish.

The restaurant is not what it used to be. Breakfasts have become meager, and the cost is rising at breakneck speed. Breakfast for one 980 liras. They are required to take breakfast for each person. What is this anyway?!!! After much debate, we ordered three breakfasts for five people and a separate menu. They didn’t even bring plates for two children! I spent 10 minutes begging them for dishes. And all because we didn’t order two more breakfasts. As a result, all three breakfasts were packed into one dish. No other place does this. Everywhere they serve breakfast separately. As a result, breakfast for three - 1 menemen, 1 omelet, 3 boiled eggs, three pieces of flatbread, black olives, 3 pieces of sausage, cheese. plate and fruits (watermelon, cherry plum, cherry, three pieces in total). 4000 liras for what????
In general, I will never set foot there again. There are plenty of terraces around with breakfasts for 850 liras for two! And much tastier.
Seven Hills has completely deteriorated((((

When making the reservation, I asked that my husband be served a dessert with a candle after the main course because it was his birthday. Nothing happened. The food was also way too expensive. 66 euros for a simple and not particularly tasty meal is way too overpriced. In addition, the restaurant is not very cozy and is more used to process tourists on an assembly line.

The view here is undoubtedly fantastic. In front of you and behind you you have 2 beautiful mosques with a view over the city. Unfortunately, you only pay for the view here. We ordered a mixed grill for a price of about €80. Containing pieces of raw chicken and not enough food for such a high price. Further in the city you will find twice as much food for half the price. Furthermore, the service was very substandard and you could see that it was all about the money for them. We thought we would have had a nice experience from this, but unfortunately it turned out differently.

We dreamed of trying a Turkish breakfast there; in fact, it was the first location we went to in Istanbul, as our hotel was nearby. But with the rudeness that we encountered from the waiter there, the desire to eat there disappeared and we just ordered coffee for 200 liras, by the way, the Turkish breakfast there is 980 liras per person, at first I was very upset with the attitude of the waiter, his tone and manner of speaking, and then I think it’s great that we didn’t have breakfast there for that kind of money, everyone is yelling about what it’s like to smile at guests - it’s not about them))) and leftover food for the seagulls, it’s also a pity, we were told the end... Disgusting place, don’t waste your money and time for this establishment. There are many terraces nearby with beautiful views, delicious cuisine and excellent service, and nowhere else in Istanbul have we encountered such boorish waiters..... But they had a young boy, it’s a pity I didn’t write down the names, he carried plates and he smiled all the time , this is the only plus of this place, but the view is also beautiful))) we will return to Istanbul, but we will never return to this establishment!!!!

food was good in taste but not worth the price, atmosphere was better, but service was horrible. We ordered 1 seafood platter and 2 came out and when we told the waiter that we only ordered one he then answered very rudely saying that it’s for 2 people and it was one item (it was 1.700 TL for one portion). So we had a hard time finishing both but also paid for both and was charged twice

Nice restaurant with panoramic views. Service was quick and impersonal, food was average. Please note that reservations are NOT for the terrace, the terrace is on a first come basis and is filled with budding "influencers". There are a plethora of rooftop restaurants in the area, which aren't so touristic but still offer a view of this beautiful city.

The reviewers commeting on how good the food and service is must judge it against McDonald's. The only reason to come here is the view - which is admittedly astonishing. Food and service s below average and massively overpriced. Come for the view, have a drink, take some photos and split. The food probably won't be any better elsewhere but it will cost you half of what it does at the Seven Hills.

Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
