This is a huge lunch hall, you can either grab a plate and fill it with plov at the gigatic kazans bubbling over the fire outside, or simply have a seat and one of the servants will serve you. My recommendation: get the festive "praznechnii"...More

The plow centre is half way between Bodomzor and Shakristan metro stations.Go early enough because by 13:00 the kettles will be emptied. Without a word of Uzbek or Russian you just way plow to the friendly servants once you have found a table. The atmosphere...More

This is one of the restaurants that locals shop. You would be amazed the size of the pilov “Kazan’s” ( huge pots) Pilov was delicious and a quite a nice experience. Don’t expect much service though.

As you enter the premises, you find yourself walking through a vineyard walkway with sweet and ripe grapes hanging from the vines bringing you a surreal feeling of being back into the times of the Roman empire. As you reach the entrance of the center,...More

This place is amazing in case you look for Plov. Hard to believe that all these huge outdoor pan are eaten up during busy lunch time. Seems it is a place you must come, lot of locals, students, office staff, so be prepared to have...More

Well, first of all the place is very popular and crowdy. My advice is to plan the visit before 13.00, earlier than this is better. Plov itself is good, but a bit greasy. Service is not always fast. Overall worth to visit.

If you visit Tashkent you must try the Uzbek style rice “Plov”. Plov center is one of the biggest and popular place in the city. Don’t be late cause you may not find a table even no Pilov :)
