Our newest to go place for authentic Sri Lankan cuisine would be definitely Culture Colombo m Now !🙌🏻 No doubts on that 😌 Not all restaurants can bring you that home vibes, but this place does bring that vibe 100% from food ➡️Ambience.

Sea food Bamboo Biriyani,Chicken Fried Rice and for desserts and drinks, fruit salad with ice cream , caramel pudding and homemade ginger beer.
Our on the spot favorite was the bamboo biriyani which was served in a steaming hot bamboo with Raita,homemade chutney and Masala Curry. It was so rich in flavors. But tbh every dish was so worth the try 😍 specially with the ambience, really sets the mood to enjoy the real Sri Lankan cuisine. 🇱🇰🙌🏻

Great semi fine-dining Sri Lankan restaurant that caters to both locals and foreigners. It's a beautifully refurbished old bungalow near St. Peter's College with some nostalgic decor and vintage architectural designs. Food here is absolutely delicious and tastes like homemade. Staff is friendly, helpful and would go an extra mile to serve customers' needs. They also knows their menu inside-out and able to detail out every bit of information if required. Preparation takes a bit too long, in average about 20 minutes. Decent parking space available within premises. An ideal place to experience some truly local cuisine.

I went for dinner to Culture Club with 3 of my relatives on 2 March 2020. The ambience was so inviting and well appointed. We ordered local Sri Lankan dishes. All of us enjoyed our meals which were delicious. One of us ordered the string hoppers and the rest went for hoppers. We also ordered the white fish (that's Spanish Mackerel). The only issue I had was that the fish was a bit overcooked. Other than that we had a lovely evening. We will not hesitate to go back to the Culture Colombo restaurant.

We went to check out this place after seeing their “instagram worthy” posts. However from the moment we entered the premises we only encountered negative scenarios. First of all the security, apparently it was his first day and he had not been briefed about the operation or how he should be handling the car park.. 2 cars were damaged due to his negligence.
After we entered the restaurant, we realized it was packed and opted to sit out. Stayed for a good 10 minutes and I had to go and ask for a Menu. A guy who was clueless said that he will come and asked me to go back to the table. When no one came I called another guy and he asked us if we have ordered, then he gave us 1 menu for the two of us to share and order.
After about 25 minutes we asked how long it was going to take for the order to be served and each guy kept on saying it will come now for a good 45 minutes. Then when we inquired about the Manager to explain our situation one senior guy said there was no manager on a busy Sunday. I got the contact number from them but this so called Manager did not answer or get back.
When we were about to walk out one guy brought two plates along with the food. That too was served without cutlery. Funniest thing was there was another couple outside and the same happened to them, they had to go in search of cutlery by themselves.
So unprofessional service, we come here to pay and eat and we do pay a service charge as well, and at a time like this when everything is expensive you still get people coming in to have your food. But if you keep doing this and giving such bad service to your customers I don’t know how long you will survive in this business.
I hope the owners or the manager will get back to me after seeing this because this was such a horrible experience

I was at dinner at Culture Colombo, a new restaurant which boasts of quality Sri Lankan cuisine and a glossy menu that describes them as those every household would have. The truth is furthest. Trues, some of the dishes, like for example the crab curry, is delectable though it is not "the best in the world" as claimed. The 'hot butter' cuttle fish (calamari) - exactly eight round rings - concealed by heaps of carrots and onion rings is Rs 1990 or just over $ 5 US for a cupful is by any standards a rip off. The service from the time we arrive until the food is served, that again, piece by piece, is approximately 35 minutes to start with. The service could be more friendly though not the best.

Had a wonderful time with friends at Culture Colombo. We were really surprised about the food. We bought kachal rice. The food is truly tasty. I like it, reasonably priced, and recommend going with your loved ones and family to enjoy a unique meal!

Worst restaurant ever!!
We went for lunch around 1.30 p.m and we had to wait almost one hour. We still didn’t get the order even after 1 hour. We ordered a lemon iced tea which we got after 30 minutes but it’s a 💩 !! Utterly disappointed and we left without having lunch there. Terrible experience we ever had in a Sri Lankan restaurant. Their staff didn’t care at all. They didn’t even say sorry and their attitude was not good. Think twice before you come to this overhyped restaurant.They don’t treat normal customers like they treat their paid influencers. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!!!

Culture Colombo is one of the best Sri Lankan Cuisine restaurant I visited in Colombo. i came here for Lunch with my family, The food is fantastic and well-priced for the quality. Specially the Kachal Rice and Bamboo Biriyani is delicious The staff is friendly and make great recommendations.

Superb, delicious, tasty, foodporn in a stylish and welcoming heritage location.
It’s an institution and it’s where the Colombo residents go when they don’t want to cook Sri Lankan food at home.
The staff are fabulous especially our favourite waiter Nagendra who is the best

This was really delicious, just an explosion of flavor from everything we had. We ordered a crab dish, fish curry, pumpkin curry and pol Sambol. A great choice for Sri Lankan cuisine, I would recommend this over Upali’s (which was good but this was better)

Heard great reviews about this place but extremely disappointed with the experience. I ordered Hoppers Portions which came almost 30 minutes late as the staff was busy with a delivery order and forgot to serve me. When received, the food was very cold and hoppers were like paper. When complained the resolution was that same food will be "warmed once more". Ate half the portion half heartedly and left after paying full amount. For feedback, the manager curtly refused to share the contact details of the hotel management. Please don't spoil the wonderful culinary culture of this beautiful country.

Great food, but the waiter was not honest about the portion sizes. He made us order one dish person (the specials - bamboo biryani, lamprais, special kottu and paratha). The portions were far too large and we could easily have done 2 dishes for three people. And then they charged us for asking them to pack the left overs!
Service was poor. Drinks took forever to arrive and the waiters were not terribly friendly or kind.
Location is also a bit weird. Some tables looked nice, but we were seated in a nook that smelled weird.

Amazing food, best place for authentic sri lankan food. They are very creative in presenting their dishes and I loved the ambience. Recommended this to all my loved ones. Definitely visiting this amazing place more frequently regardless of how far it is to where I live and work. Forever fan of CC!
