Nice choice for a good meal. My vol-au-vent was excellent. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Would go back.

The food was stunning - western at its best. Ambience was fantastic-heralds the glory days of Laos' French past. The service was immaculate - waiters fussing over every detail. I especially loved the pasta and the desserts. A definite must visit!

First it was a hot day 100+ degrees and there is no A/C in the restaurant only scattered ceiling fans moving at very slow speed. The buns were frozen on the inside. The remaining dishes were far from fresh, undercooked rubbery bland and watery -all...tasted frozen, over-microwaved -all far below average in taste and appearance. No apology or acknowledgement offered by the restaurant in fact did not see any staff except servers. The local service staff were lovely but did not compensate for the over priced very poor quality food. There was absolutely nothing French about the food. With all the eating choices in Vientiane including French cuisine none of us would not return to this Brasserie ever again. Oh and we were the only customers all evening . It should have served as a clue but we were very hungry and stayed. But the experience ruined our last night in Laos.More

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We're sorry that you had such a poor experience that day. The A/C was being repaired that day and it was unfortunate that the weather was so hot. As for the quality of food,...More

Food was tasty, beautifully presented and service was great. I am a small eater so only tried two dishes. I would loved to have tried more.

La Belle Époque is perfect for a special dinner with friends or a romantic night out. The restaurant in located within the Settha Palace Hotel, a colonial building built in 1930. There is a French menu and Laos menu for à la carte, or you...can choose one of their set menus, including matched food and wine or vegetarian options. The service is attentive and personal. There is also a private dining room for up to 12 guests.More

Vientiane accurately has been called the backwater Capitol of SE Asia. We were there for three nights and luckily found Belle Époque on night two. Had a great meal and the staff were wonderful. After several hours of eating they took us back to our...hotel in their very vintage town car, jump seats and all. The next night we checked out two other recommended places before throwing in the towel on our search and grabbing a tuk tuk back to Belle Époque. Another fine meal, and another ride in style to our hotel. Between the four of us and two nights of dining we had most of the menu; nothing disappointing about any dish. And then there was lunch. We found ourselves with a two hour layover between flights at the Vientiane airport. We knew there was no food there and that we would be starving. So, a call to Belle Époque, a chat about the great meals we’d had and a description of our dilemma, and they delivered lunch to the airport. It was the high point of a hot, four hour car drive, two flight Day. These people understand the hospitality business. If you’re in Vientiane, go there. Very good food , wonderful staff and a great value!More

Had been planning for some time to visit this place and I was not disappointed. The restaurant is in classic colonial building, fully restored. The meal was excellent, I had a lamb shank that was too much for me but the best I have ever...tasted. My friends steak was delicious but surprisingly small for the price, overall an excellent experience, I'll be going again.More
