My boyfriend and I both ordered the noodles with pork and the dishes were extremely flavourful! Wish the portions were a bit larger though, my boyfriend had to order another meal after. The iced coffee was just perfect. The garden was beautiful making it the perfect setting that one can just relax and socialize whilst enjoying delicious food and drink!

I went to Kungs Cafe twice with a local on a business trip. It could be a little hard to find if you don't already know where it is. I enjoyed the food both visits. The service can be a little slow, but it seems to be like that basically everywhere in Lao. I really like this cafe. It's cool... More

Tucked away in a little alley near Si Muang, you feel like you're taken a back in time or somewhere else out of the city to enjoy a peaceful, comforting and affordable meal. Be sure not to miss the big red 'K' on the main street outside or else this place can be difficult to find. Kung's cafe has both... More

I've lived in Vientiane for 4 years now and this is where I take all my visitors. It's a great spot for brunch. The Pad Lao and Mango sticky rice pancakes always keep me coming back!

Kung's was very hard to find, it is SOUTH of Wat Si Muang on Rue Simeuang, not north as some maps suggest (I have tried to fix this on Trip Advisor), and even then you need to find the little alleyway marked by the Kung's sign. Well worth it once you are there - it is a very funky little... More

This cafe is located very near to Wat Si Muang, so after a tour at the tour you can just walk over there. The cafe itself is located inside a small lane, so it may be hard to find at first, look out for a signage that will direct you in. It is also not located within city centre nor... More

Cool little spot. Don't late sketchy street to get there fool you, it's a cozy spot perfect for a quick cheap meal that's delicious. Phad Lao was awesome and the banana mango smoothie was so good. Food comes fast, prices are cheap, and the staff are awesome.

It took us a while to get someone's attention to take our order. I enjoyed my meal there with my husband. We went especially for the famous mango sticky rice pancake, which did not disappoint. Also ordered the pork noodles which is nice and filled with vegetable and my husband got the tuna sandwich which was a little soggy. That... More

We regularly visit Kungs Cafe on trips to Vientiane. It is a bit far from the city centre, but if you have a bike or motorbike it's worth eating there. It's hard to find down a little alley (on the RHS of Rue Simueng as you head towards the river) but it is a cool (in both meanings of the... More

Sticky rice pancakes and coconut coffee. That is all. Oh ask for the meat ball and egg (it's not on the menu). Gets quite crowded cause this is the place for be for a Sunday morning breakfast. The hot coffee was a bit too strong for me. Love the ambiance, and a great place to meet the expats living in... More
