Food was OK at best, and service was uninspired. Interesting decor, and seem to have great potential, but not quite there. Might try again if I am back, but with so many better options in town, I will have to be really craving Japanese. Given the cost compared to most everything else in Vientiane, I was very disappointed with this... More

You have choices of Japanese food for lunch or dinner though it's a bit pricey. The setting, services, and food quality might be worth for this.

We're big Japanese food fans and asked around for the best in town. Long faces followed and I guess we should have got the message. This is Japanese food, the setting is that of a typical Japanese restaurant, the chefs look the part, the menu does what such a restaurant should do and offer. There it ends. We were totally... We had a very good meal but it was quite expensive. Service was only adequate. It is clean and cheery with more employees than guests. I would go back for the quality of the food.

If you want fresh, tasty sushi, then Fuji is the place you want to go. This clean, spacious restaurant has efficient waiters and chefs who will deliver your order with precision and speed. The miso soup is very good and the sushi is consistently good. Try the soft-shell crab sushi. And the rest rooms are the cleanest in all of... More

Wow!! This is hands down the best Japanese food I've ever had. It was brilliant!! The platter I had was unbelievably big for one person to manage which is not what I'm used to when eating Japanese but eat it I did .. And with much relish!! The food was delicious, the service was a bit slow but the restaurant... More

Ordered a bentobox. The fish was of extremely poor quality and the sushi's were not fresh at all!! Staff don't speak English and really worse trained, while there are so many tourist in there. I've been to many many of Japanese (chain)restaurants before, but this was one of the worst!

Went there for dinner. The 30 page menu included almost every food of the japanese cuisine i knew:) pictures helped. The staff did not speak english. But food came fast and was quite a decent quality.

After living in Thailand I became familiar with Fuji. The prices in Vientiane are much more expensive than Thaiand. Even if you convert from local currency to Thai, it's more expensive. One constant remained....the quality was great.

We are frequent diners at Fuji restaurants when we visit Thailand so we were interested to try the Lao version. The menus were essentially the same as in Thailand but the prices were higher. The quality of the food was comparable. Service was satisfactory and the setting (we were at the Mixai branch: there is another branch too) was pleasant... More
