I spent few minutes torn whether or not to walk in this place. I wanted to seat outside and all seats were taken. Eventually I saw a couple of plates served at a table and decided to walk in and I am so glad I did! This place resulted to be one of the best cafe` I ever visited in... More

We have a croissant enthusiast in our small toddler, so Le Banneton was a great pitstop after a morning out at Buddha Park! Le Banneton offers several types of croissants including regular and pure butter (do yourself a favor and splurge for the pure butter!). We also enjoyed the hot items including the quiches (mushroom, cauliflower and cheese was excellent!),... More

Their baguettes, bacon and coffee are always great. Ive eaten here and the sister restaurant Cafe Vanille, more times than I can count, never had a bad meal.

Well... if you want to be picking small curly hairs out of your teeth for the next hour, this is the place to be!!! Not one.. but TWO hairs in my salad within first two mouthfuls. Not to mention it's totally over priced and smells funky. Over rated!!!!!

There is a good choice of breakfast dishes a la carte, as well as set breakfasts. The plate of scrambled eggs is huge and comes with delicious baguette bread, though no butter. The fruit salad with yogurt is tasty but a bit small. There is no wifi. Inside is cool and welcoming. They have loads of pastries, all delicious looking,... More

We stopped into Le Banneton for lunch while in Vientiane and were pleasantly surprised. The food was incredible! We ordered a salad and two baguette sandwiches, and the portions were huge. We ended up saving half for dinner later on. We also stopped in later for pain au chocolate and croissants, and they were just perfect. If you are in... More

A French treat in Asia. Delicious iced coffees and all the bread and pastries looked like they would suit a posh Paris patisserie .

Came here to try the recommended croissants (also got a latte). Very nice! The chocolate and pistachio croissant was yummy! No wi-fi here though - so talk to each other (or read a book)!

On my first visit I was sitting on the terrace, and it was a little crowded with backpackers. On the second visit I was inside, a cool retreat from the heat outside. The butter croissants and pain-au-chocolat were excellent, and I had a Western style meal while my Lao friend ate Lao food - both main meals were excellent. There... More
