On the one hand it was a pleasant surprise not to feel like the inside of my mouth was on fire, and on the other hand I found that my Stir-Fry Tofu was a bit boring, bordering on tasteless. I guess we tourists are a hard bunch to please. Initially I tend to judge a restaurant by the quality of... More

This is the perfect place to go to sample authentic tasty Lao cuisine. The open air restaurant has a relaxed and welcoming vibe. Service is efficient and friendly. The menu offers options for customisation of the menu items, especially for tourists. They mark certain dishes with a "T", signalling that you can order the dish without the more adventurous Lao... A friendly welcome at lunch time in this place and great to sit out the front and people watch. Food was great. Very tasty. Tofu spring rolls and deep fried mushrooms were particularly good. Great service. Reasonably priced. Highly recommended.

The location is nice, but service was very disorganized. It took ages to get the food, then they had to rake it back as the served the food from the neighbours table. The food we then got was vikd, so we had to give it back..... The price is way too high....45.000 Kip for a single sausage....

We read about this place in a travel book so we decided to come here upon arrival to Vientiene. They only have outdoor seating so we were a bit warm in the middle of the day, but the food did not disappoint. We had a full meal for a very reasonable price.

We ate here as our first meal in Laos and really enjoyed it. Lots of meat and veggie options and they try to cater for tourists tastes by reducing the spice a bit. Although this is beneficial for many tourists, this was the only fault we could find- even though we asked for our basil stirfry and red curry stirfry... More

"mint lemon juice is heaven ...try" Our first meal at Lao Kitchen ; not bad and reasonable priced. I like the stir fried morning glory veg . The dishes in Laos tend not to be more spicy than the counterpart in nearby Thailand . If you like spicy food, ask the chef to add more fresh chilli in the cooking... More

After glowing report in lonely planet we tried Lao kitchen. After being too late the night before. Food was only so so and they forgot one dish we ordered . The bamboo shoot stew was interesting and tasty. The other dish was pretty average

We had a very poor dinner at Lao Kitchen yesterday. Everything really everything was cold ..... soup ... even rice. Waiting and waiting for the food - we stayed hungry. Coffee did not appear in one hour.... we cannot recommend at all!
