I've been going here for years and it is honestly the best French style cafe I have ever been to, all the staff and so friendly and their freshly made bread is just heaven especially the almond loaf. Also their pear almond tart and prawn...mayo baguette sandwich really hits the spot. It is a small cafe with indoor and outdoor seating but really gives you that cozy feeling you don't get at a big chain coffee shopMore

Just missed my hotel breakfast and stumbled upon this restaurant. Staff was friendly, the Lao dip coffee excellent, the croque madam good and the 4 fruits smoothy delicious. Good value for your money.

Have been to rhis place before also but on this visit it was closed for renovation.Previously we had just stopped by for breakfast and it turned out quite likeable.

My guidebook suggested this and it was my first choice for lunch on our first full day in Vientiane. But we searched thoroughly without finding. But where it was seemingly supposed to be there was a redevelopment going on.

We came here one afternoon and we went back to the other branch in town the day after as it was so good! I had a croissant AND a Pan chocolate (yes thats right), the croissant was so flaky and buttery and the pan chocolate...was incredible. Both times were excellent, staff were lovely, premises were clean....may even go back again today! The best pastrys i've had in Laos.More

I politely asked for the air conditioning to be lowered as it was a similar temperature to outside. The waiter gave me a dirty look and walked away. Also no sugar offered for tea and coffee. Mediocre food. Much better cafes on the next street.

Excellent stop for a break., croissants were surprisingly good, moccaccino and cappuccino! Ask for juices/smoothies or whatsoever without sugar - unless you want it very, very sweet :)

We had two croissants with chicken, just what we needed! The Lao style coffee was good and the mint tee was also fine - not with fresh mint though. Nice meal for a fair price

Compared with the pale, doughy, excuses for croissants that we'd had in Thailand the ones here were fab - crisp, flaky and buttery, good enough to pass muster in France and no need for jam. Tuna baguette was fine too, and reasonably priced.

If you want the best croissants in Vientiane.. Look no further! This is my only morning stop for java and pastries. Great service, great pastries! Start your day at Croissant d' Or, and you'll be smiling all morning.
