Get the food and drinks to the table at the same time (not drink by drink or dish by dish) and don’t expect patrons to use the same cutlery for starter and main, and you’d have a 5 out of 5 from me. We had...an otherwise superb meal and we will definitely be back. I was most impressed by the price and quality of my beef fillet and the fact that I wasn’t charged for the extra sides I requested, namely the mushroom sauce and fried spinach. Great meal. Just a few small things to tweak.More

Arrived at what looked like a class restaurant. Asked for advice on a nice Italian full bodied red. Took the sommelier’s advice even though sceptical of the 2020 age. US$65 Terrible wine. On paying the bill he admitted to not having tried it! The food...was about a 3 out of 5 Really not that good. Tuna crochet dry and tasteless. Gnocchi was tasty and pizzas were ok. But really? Mostly my reviews praise but this one is just not right. AVOID There is far better out there. Aircon wasn’t working properly either. If I never go back it will be too soonMore

As lovers of Italian food we were pleased to find such an authentic Italian restaurant in Phnom Penh. My cheese platter starter was excellent, a choice of 5 different cheeses (the parmigiano was as good as I have had anywhere in Italy) with honey, sundried...tomatoes and red cabbage as accompaniments as well as walnuts and grapes. My husbands mussel and prawns stew was good but there were no prawns in it - this is the reason I haven't given 5 stars. For our main courses I had bucatini all'amatriciana and my husband chose a seafood pizza. To accompany our meal we had a lovely bottle of Nero d'avola red wine. Very friendly staff but the language was a slight problem.More

Enjoyed our visit thanks to friendly staff and good quality food. The aircon however was poor meaning we ended up rushing out as we were just too hot to stay for dessert. We had bruschetta and Parma wraps to start with mushroom risotto and pasta...with Italian sausage to follow and all were very tasty. Expensive by Cambodia standards but certainly still cheap by European standards. Definitely recommend if you fancy an Italian by way of a change from the local fare.More

Enjoyed a nice lunch here with fresh salad and pizza with wine. Excellent menu and wine selection. Pastas looked very good although we did not try. The restaurant is a nice setting with attentive service. Reasonably priced.

We had high hopes on entering Il Forno however when we arrived to the restaurant at 7pm there was only one other table occupied. The starters where good but we have had better in Italian restaurants. However, the main issue arose when the mains arrived....We had orederd a gnocchi and a ravioli but were instead served a gnocchi and a Tagliatelle, when we questioned this we where told this was right but only when we pushed further the Tagliatelle was returned to the chef. This then meant we where eating out mains a different times as we waited for he correct main dish to be served. For a western style restaurant charging western prices this was not good enough. We totally understand mistakes happens but to pay €90 for our meal to only get one simple "sorry" was a massive let downMore

A great oasis of calm and upmarket European style in the hectic hubbub of Phnomn Pen. Yes Khmer food is lovely, but sometimes you want a little bit ‘home’, and Il Forno does that. Tasty pizzas, great homemade pasta and a great wine list. General...Manager, Ed, is from Italy so you know that this place is authentic. It was so good we visited their (more casual, relaxed) restaurant in Siemens Reap too.More

I went there with wife, 3 kids (8, 6 and 1), and mother-in-law. My 1 year old was a bit restless so we let him walk around the restaurant a bit. The owner (who is a foreigner), came out and said that I need to...control my 1 year old kid and lied that other customers complained. (I know he lied because there we're only other 2 tables with people in the restaurant and I asked them and none of them complained). My poor mother in-law was so upset that someone would speak to us like that and accuse her little grandson of disturbing other guests. Don't go if you have kids, even if they're not with you. Imagine if someone said that to your kids, let alone the owner.More

This was my first visit to Il Forna, and it was a good one. My wife and were joining 3 friends, one of whom is American-Italian, and it was he who suggested we eat here. It was a spot on choice. Service was impeccable, and...so was the food. I can't remember what everybody ate, but I had the Tortelli Alla Boscaiola, and my wife had Tuna Salad. As well as being beautifully presented, they were also perfectly flavoursome. We will definitely be dining here again soon.More

Ordered by delivery a salsiccia and scamorza pizza. Size was smaller than expected, must have been 30-35 cm in diameter. Crust reminded me of a slightly thicker tortilla. The layer of cheese was dry, tough, and as thin as two sheets of paper. The sausage...made everything extremely salty, as if the pizza had been soaked in seawater. I cannot speak for the other dishes but this particular one was terrible. It was far from filling but we were not very hungry after. We also waited over an hour for this.More

We went to il forno for Pizza dinner last week. Pizza was exceptional! I would rate it the best pizza in Phnom Penh. For dessert we had Chocolate Fondant, and it was divine! I would go back just to have Fondant. The service was excellent....The owner was there at the door to greet the guests, and he walked around to talk to customers to ask how their food was and all. Very nice to see that! We will definitely go back and try their home made pasta dishes and other items in the menu.More

Visited here as there were a lot of great reviews, so thought we’d give it a go. We ordered a rosemary pizza as a starter to share which we thought was pretty naff because it was quite dry and hard, next time we will just...ask for some bread and oil. But our main meals were so good that we forgot about that. I ordered the cheese gnocchi and it was amazing, if I could I would eat that every day! Will definitely visit again soon!More
