About
DID - Dine in the Dark is a fine dining restaurant in which there are no lights inside the dining room. This pitch-dark restaurant provides guests a chance to discover Khmer, international and vegetarian dishes without seeing them, thereby heightening all non-visual senses in an elegant fashion. All dishes offer a surprising selection of tastes and textures, and by revealing the dishes only after dinner, DID - Dine in the Dark provides the opportunity to indulge in a culinary guessing-game. The restaurant also has a social purpose at the core of its business model, as it employs a team of talented visually-impaired to work as members of its service team. It thereby creates equal employment opportunities

Great place to go especially with friends and family, we knew it was going to be dark but not this dark😂 the food is of one of the highest qualities, not to mention the skillful staff we had. Cost isn’t bad considering the unique experience...More

What a wonderful and humbling experience. The food was amazing, and Borei our waiter was great! Some of the best food I've eaten in Phnom Penh and very reasonably priced, especially given this is a social enterprise, supporting the visually impaired.More

This was one of the most unique dining experiences I’ve ever had - being seated in a room and having a three-course meal in complete darkness. All of the waiters are visually impaired and direct you to your seats in the dark. You are able...More

I was so impressed with the staff being able to make us feel completely comfortable in the pitch black, which I imagine is hard enough on it's own, let alone in your second language. The food we had was all either very good or excellent-...More

WOW - what an experience. Other the initial shock of being in the pitch darkness, everything was very calm. My friend and I had the surprise 3 course Khmer menu and everything was delicious. Our “guide” was patient and kind. Unique and unforgettable experience.

We heard about Dine in the Dark and were interested but a bit skeptical -- is it a gimmick? We read lots of reviews and still weren't sure. SO GLAD we went!! What a unique sensory experience. There were two of us -- we ordered...More
