Have never found another restaurant in Phnom Penh that could compete with Khema . Great cuisine. Lovely surroundings. Charming and efficient staff. “Sok” was our main waiter and he was very knowledgeable in respect of pairing the food & wine on offer. The wine & dine on a Thursday was also excellent value and very popular. Highly recommended. Don’t forget to visit the delicatessen for great pastries!

Dear Sir, We're glad to read you had the chance to try our various offers during your stay at Arunreas hotel. It was a pleasure for our team and especially Sok to advise you on our food and beverage options. Our Thursday Wine & Dine is indeed very popular and we're happy to know it met your expectations, just like our bakery and deli products. Please do not hesitate to come back soon to try more from our delicious dishes! Best regards

The service was excellent, and so was the food. We were brought some freshly baked baguette with butter whilst we were waiting for our food - the bread was everything you wanted it to be. Beef carpaccios are one of my favourite dishes therefore if I see one - I try one - and I loved it! You could tell the olive oil used was of quality, and the beef was almost melting in your mouth with those parmesan shavings. You must try the fresh baguette with as it pairs wonderfully. One of my family members ordered a beef burger and was asked how cooked he would like it, as for the steak frites, which definitely shows they care about not only the quality of the food they serve but also about the customer's experience at their restaurant. The meats were served as we asked, whether it was blue, medium or well done. Really tasty food for reasonable prices, I would definitely recommend !

I wrote a review for Khéma Pasteur shortly after they opened. They had not properly trained their staff and our experience was bad. Times have changed and I have been back three or four times and it seems better each time. We went for the "Free Flow Breakfast" and the "Free Flow Lunch" (one of each). There was endless bread and butter while we waited, but for $14 a head, we wanted to fill up on Eggs Royale or some of the lunch specials. We ordered our coffees immediately and then got juices and two breakfast dishes and two lunch dishes ordered before we settled in to a conversation. By and by the coffees arrived and we asked for some croissants to nibble on (usually there is a buffet where you can keep getting pastries, but this was back in the c19 days, and the buffet was closed). Finally the food arrived and we quickly gauged whether we should get one or two more. When we finished the first two plates, the others were about ready to come to the table. The portions are not large, but you may have as many as you have time for. The restaurant is quite classy actually. I would say good for romance or other special occasions. Their dinner menu is quite extensive, so I suppose I'll be back to try that one day. I'm glad they have improved so much.

I’m a local and Khema is my go-to whenever I need a taste change from homecooked meal to western cuisine. The restaurant has a nice ambient atmosphere, and very friendly staffs. The food is very good for its price and they offer a freeflow brunch menu which is available every morning at everyday of the week. They also have a wide variety of desserts and cakes which you can pre-order for your events. In my opinion, they have the best macaroons in town. Anyway, an unfortunate event happened to me once last month as i booked a private room for my birthday; but then they accidentally gave it to someone else. As much angry as I was at the staffs with their slip up, they made sure our table set (not in the private room anymore) and our dining experience going smoothly. They did offer 2 complimentary entrées and one cake which I think was the least they could do. Anyhow, i would definitely go back, Khema has been our family’s favorite restaurant.

So, let me start off by saying that on our trip to Cambodia, we were happy to soak up the local and authentic experience. We are not the kind of people who look down on a developing country, or expect it to cater to high end or fancy tastes. A meal at this restaurant was our one "splurge" in Phnom Pehn, but it cost us less to eat here than it would in our hometown of Portland, OR. So we saw it more as a deal too good to pass up! And it was. The food was on par with any other highly polished cuisine we've had elsewhere all over the world. We ordered an appetizer, two entrees, desert, and a bottle of wine, and the bill was still under $80 USD. I had the Beef Bourginon, and relished this take on famously delicious Cambodian beef. My husband had the Coq Au Vin. We paired it with a French pinot noir, and had a chocolate desert (unfortunately I can't recall what it was). The service was excellent. Really you could drop this whole place in Paris and it would hold up. It was my favorite meal in Phnom Pehn!

my experiences @ khema pasteur this has now happened for the forth time. I have ordered dishes @ Khema today, with around 4 other tables occupied. the waiter did not write down my order. he forgot one out of three dishes. after complaint the reason given was "Sorry I forgot" Haven't heard this in any restaurant of this size and standing outside of Cambodia - and also rarely within. I find for the prices that Khema charges one could expect trained staff that writes orders down.  But not at this place, where they usually don't even give you napkins (unless you ask!). Cambodia has come a long way; the staff at this restaurant seems to still live in the 1990s or early 2000s.

We stayed at Lumiere hotel which is 3 minutes walk away. It’s so good and not crazy expensive we dined here twice. We especially loved the seabass tatarte and beef cooked in butter and herb sauce served with tealights (can’t remember the name). Beef carpaccio, lobster bisque, seafood pasta and tenderloin were not bad but not wow. Good service. Highly recommended.

We stopped by for breakfast and were delighted with the quality of the breakfast. We were going to order alacarte but ended up having the all you can eat for $11.90 which was fantastic value. You can have a juice, coffee, tea and anything off the menu. The quality of the produce was excellent and plenty of it. The eggs benedict were great as was the big breakfast. Their fresh fruit and yoghurt was also very good. It is in a lovely old building and the staff were very professional and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

We had lunch here because my friend insisted on Western food. The lunch special comprised a salad and desert buffet with a la carte menu for soup, main, ice cream, and tea or coffee. The place is nice and elegant, making you forget that this is in the heart of Phnom Penh. The food is OK. I wouldn't say it was great french food, but OK, and the price was reasonable. So if you want some western food after days of eating local dishes, this would be a good choice.

If you come on a Saturday make sure to have a reservation! We came the next day with a reservation but it was not very busy so we would have been fine walking in. The croissants are fantastic! Buttery, flaky, and delicious. The chocolate version was a wonderful part of the bread buffet. Their eggs and bacon were very good, while the English breakfast was enormous! The Khmer breakfast soup was fine, nothing special to us. Fresh juices abound and there is plenty to gnosh on. I wish they had a berry jelly filled croissant option, a breakfast sandwich, and a "make your own omelet" option also. They do great things here and I hope they continue to add to their menu.

We had wonderful food here for breakfast and lunch. All plates came out straight from kitchen with reasonable portion that gave you opportunity to try some more. The best baguette in town and we believe it can compete to the one in France.

Regular favorite with consistently good french food. A bit pricey but it is in a fine dining category i suppose. We usually prefer to sit outside that looks like a proper seating setup but getting served there is almost impossible - you would basically have to go inside and get your own menus, orders or drink refills. But usually if sitting inside that doesn't happen. So would recommend for a nice french food in the nice fine dining setup

Dear A J, Thank you for pointing out what could be improved at Khéma Pasteur, we take note of your feedbacks. It's true that we always recommend our guests to seat inside as outside tables are normally not dedicated to dining, even though we try to do our best when people request it. Thank you for still highlighting the quality of our cuisine, this is greatly appreciated and we're happy to have you among our loyal guests. We look forward to welcoming you again soon. I have lived in Phnom Penh for nearly two years now and only recently discovered Khema Pasteur. From the minute I saw the exterior, the attention to detail, and the cleanliness I was confident I was going to be impressed. The interior was equally impressive. We were shown to our reserved table by a well presented and incredibly polite young man and we soon ordered. The food was amazing. I had bangers and mash in gravy (a taste of England!) and my girlfriend had steak and chips. I can't remember what we had for dessert, but we shared one between us and it all went, very quickly. The reason I can't remember what we had for dessert, was because we drunk two bottles of amazing wine. The entire experience was just perfect. The place, the service, the food, the price. I will be back, I am even thinking of sneaking down there tomorrow for breakfast, which I hear is very good.

Lovely restaurant with a charming interior and delightful staff. Centrally located. Upon a local resident's recommendation, I had the free flow breakfast here every morning during my stay in Phnom Penh. Everything one could ever want out of a western breakfast; only the highest, top-quality ingredients. Great and varied selection of coffees to boot. Easily one of the best breakfasts anywhere, and at a reasonable price. Highly recommend.
