Don't let the look of the place fool you-good food! Gravy fries, big selection of Mexican food, and cold beers served in a koozie. Live music on occasion.

Was in Phnom Penn for 4 days before we head off to Siem Reap. After a whole day going places, we felt so famished and got ourselves lost looking for a specific cafe we stumbled on the goggle map. We then decided to head to Alley cats cafe as we are dead hungry and tired. My noodles is simple yet... More

Food is okay--not very imaginative; portions are small. No cheese (though mentioned on the menu--big disappointment though most restaurants of any cuisine really skimp on cheese). Please is somewhat ramshackle and has seen much better days. I would recommend Viva (on the waterfront) or Cartel (much cleaner), but without cheese Mexican food cannot be a Phnom Penh (or SE Asia's)... More

Hi Edwin, I have one recommendation for you it's imaginative, a huge portion, and covered in cheese and cream sauce - The Burrito Loco con Queso. With regards to the cheese, as ever, I would request you bring this up with the staff / management at the time you're dining, so we could ensure it hadn't been missed by mistake.... More

Found this awesome place down a little in the small street near my hotel. Cool vibe, massive delicious Mexican meals and really yummy cheap cocktails. Good service too. Recommend the margaritas!

The beer is cold ,the drinks are strong and the food is surprisingly good. It's small, can get really crowded when they have live music ,and there is no AC. Down an alley off Street 19 .A great spot to quench your thirst and satisfy your appetite. I stop in every time I'm in Phnom Penh.

The food was really good but the service was kind of bad. We felt like we weren't very welcome in the place and we were looked upon like we were intruders. Very unplaisant. Just for that, we probably won't go again..

We are glad you enjoyed the food, and please accept our apologies if the service wasn't friendly. Everyone has off days, but of course it is our business to welcome customers to our restaurant. I feel bad that you didn't feel welcome and hope you'll try dining with us again in future. More

The cafe interior looks dirty and is seriously overworn. The cafe is most like run by westerners but I saw locals making bigger efforts to serve western style food. The salad was embarassing (carrot, lettuce, onions and four pieces of tomato) and the potato fries looked very, very sad. Try not to use the toilets there (or leave it until... More

It is true that we are not a shiny and polished place, but we have worked hard to create the look and feel of a Mexican cantina. I guess you didn't appreciate the huge murals on the walls that we painted ourselves, the broken tile mosaic furniture we also spent along time making etc. Now regarding the food it seems... More

I'm sorry we do not serve lobster. You must be reviewing a different establishment, we are a Mexican & burger restaurant. More

We visited here maybe 4 times in 3 days? Love the food! This was actually also our deciding factor in coming back to Phnom Penh for a visa rather than staying in Siem Reap. Fantastic food consistently good, especially the fajitas - some of the best I've ever tried. Did originally think the prices were quite expensive however after travelling... More

My partner have first the burrito. And it wasn't your typical burrito that is wrapped and can be eaten without using knives or forks. Alley Cat Cafe's burrito is bigger, and is drowning with its own sauce. So when I arrived in Phnom Penh, we ordered those one cheese and one with red sauce (I keep on forgetting to take... More
