A well decorated French style Bistro with excellent food to match. I had the pleasure of dining several times at Armands Bistro whilst I was in Phnom Penh recently following a recommendation from a friend in Koh Kong, Cambodia. The ambience was professional yet friendly and inviting from arrival to departure. The French Onion soup with Sauvignon Blanc stock topped... More

Great steak, wine and service. The price is spot on for the value here. I would recommend this wonderful spot to anyone in Cambodia.

Armand's is small but great. A true bistro with a very limited menu that is all good. The boss is there to ensure quality and will flambe your meal at your table.

As we started our vacation, my boyfriend came down with a nasty chest cold, which meant he was sidelined for several days. When we arrived in Phnom Penh, he had almost recovered, but was worried he couldn't handle the spicy (to him) local food. What luck, then, to find a French restaurant recommended by the NY Times, right? Wrong. Both... More

Armand's is the best place to go for steak in Phnom Penh, and therefore probably the whole of Cambodia. My chateaubriand on Friday night was, as always, cooked to perfection, and my wife's pepper steak likewise. The steaks were slightly smaller than on previous visits, but meat prices have been rising all across across the country recently, so it's understandable... More

Was looking for a fine steak and was glad to have enjoyed an excellent dinner at Armand's. Besides a nice chateaubriand, the goat cheese and the apple tart Tatin were exceptional. Congrats to Armand for establishing this quality of food.

Had an enjoyable meal at Armand's. We like the charming, cosy almost romantic ambience. Our French onion soup, charcuterie and Steak were all excellent. Staff were attentive. At times distracted by the boisterous host Mr Armand busily greeting guests at their tables

The place is typical French Brasserie with classic food. My "Mousse de Foies de Volailles" was deliciously smooth and tasty. My Beef tenderloin was good with a tasty Blue Cheese sauce, but the potatoes were too dry. The "Tarte Tatin" was very well caramelized and served with rich "Chantilly" and vanilla ice cream. The owner of the place is representing... More

We went to Armand's and it was really good. The bread and butter they bring is amazing (we were far from home many days, so it felt good :)) For dinner we had duck and ribeye. The meat was delicious...We didn't had wine or dessert. It is a bit expensive but for us it was worthed... :)

Description
Armand's classic menu, which includes steak, duck, baked Alaska and unique personal touch have provided the solid foundations on which his Phnom Penh reputation has been built. Come anytime, you can get a tournedos rossini at 11pm if you want to... With the grace of a master artisan, Armand works before his guests splashing on cognac into a pan before setting it alight and frying the tenderloin in a blue glow. As the flames flicker out, Kampot pepper sauce is added to the pan and Fois Gras is folded in. The meat, ever centre stage, is cooked in the sauce, reaching perfection before being plated. Busy each night with friendly people, you will never regret your visit at Armand's Bistro...
