From the busy street frontage the building's nondescript entrance leads to a wooden stairwell that takes you back to the heyday of FCC. The walls up to and including the first floor restaurant area display photos and stories of the past. Worth taking the time to view, read and reflect on. We didn't visit any other floors as after a... More

Our group enjoyed happy hour and dinner on the balcony overlooking the Boulevard and the Mekong River. Atmosphere and history of the place was great, and some wonderful photos on the walls. The service was very attentive and the food quite passable. A great spot to watch the world go by and you never know who you meet. It's a... More

I recommend the buy one get one free happy hour. The rooftop bar is a great place see the sunset. The food is good, but a bit on the pricey side.

A great insight into journalism in Asia throughout the earlier years with wonderful stories and photos to be seen and heard. Grab a bar stool overlooking the Mekong River on the first or second floor open air balconies and you can while away the hours and people watch to your hearts content. Lovely high ceilings, fans and open air will... More

Go for the view, the ambience and the history. Better if you're with a group too. Great balcony bar on the third floor with a great view of the river and buzz from the street. The menu is varied, but the food is hit and miss and over priced for the area. Although the pizzas are great.

We stopped by thinking that we might stay for dinner and ordered the scotch quail eggs as a nibble. You could say this was risky, but the food we have eaten in Phnom Penh has been spectacular. The view of the river is wonderful, the history and setting very evocative, but the food was bad, really bad! We moved on.

Go there at around 11 am and you will have the whole floor for yourself. Food is extremely well suited. There is no need for air-con as the place has the sort of atmosphere. Good to sit to watch the Mekong river.

Good tip for our future visitors! Indeed, our dining room is quieter before noon. At that time you will discover an almost totally different Tonle Sap river (bright and busy with some boats around) from your relaxed, breezy seat by our balcony. Also ideal for lunch or just your favourite book and a cup of good coffee. Please do visit... More

When you've walked around long enough and thoughts of S21 are still floating through your head, nothing like some great live music and fantastic cocktails to take the edge off. As we walked up stairs to the terrace we both wondered about the various journalists, the diplomats and other correspondents that would've been 'regulars' at one time. If you are... More

Thank you so much for your detailed and honest review. Our prices reflect the first quality ingredients that we carefully select (in some cases even import) every day for our dishes and drinks, as well as the fair salaries and insurances paid to all staffs and our premium location by the riverside in Phnom Penh. We are glad that you... More

Good colonial upstairs spot for a drink or dinner, with nice view over Tonle Sap riverside, but it's packed with too many tourists.

Thank you very much for your visit and for taking the time to comment. From our very first days in Phnom Penh, FCC has been a forum for intrepid adventurers, locals and visitors, from around the world. Not that long ago, Cambodia lived a tough Civil War and journalists and aid workers found between these walls a place to gather... More

This place had great food, attentive service, good prices and the location is awesome. It is upstairs so you dont get people hassling you on the street and the smell of all the cars and motobikes. Its great. They usually have a live band playing too.

Thank you very much for your kind review. We are delighted to know that your experience at FCC was excellent. FCC Phnom Penh Restaurant and Bar - Casual open-air dining on the MekongWith a passion for fusion cuisine, FCC group chef has created the FCC menu, introducing generous flourishes of traditional Khmer flavors spiked with funky French influences. While the menu is still built on FCC main-stays such as beer-battered fish and chips, deli-fresh sandwhiches, and wood-fired pizzas, the heart of the menu remains a finely crafted blend of Asian, Mediterranean and Western-influenced flavours. The BarThe "F", as those know to frequent the big horseshoe bar call it, has served stiff drinks, camaraderie and comfort to a storied cast of journalists and diplomats, movie stars and intrepid travellers since 1993.Back then, when The "F" first opened its doors, the bar gave shelter from the gritty and tense streets of the capital, where an uneasy peace was just taking hold. Writers and their sources traded secrets in the shadows. Diplomats drank their per diems, swapped social strategies and spilled their martinis.Today, the bar still serves a stiff extra-dry, and the journos still pass through on the great hunt. The tension is gone. But there's still plenty of action, and the liquor, on occasion, still gets spilled.Open Daily 7:00 a.m. - MidnightHappy Hour 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.
