We loved the food here! Staff lacked decent english speaking skills, but if you see that more as a novelty than an annoyance the night is fun! We had the pork ribs and pork rissoles and both were amazing. There are also some weird things for you to try on the menu as well.

Food is very good, huge portions. Try the Ban Chao pancake stuffed with various meats. Pho is also very good. Food taste is good. Not very upmarket, a bit haphazard inside... noisy, not classy. Outside looks good... but overall I love the food... that's all that matters right?

This is my favorite Vietnamese place and is almost always great, I was surprised to see so many negative reviews. I always eat at the location on st. 63 and Moa Zedong which has a nice open patio or inside air con if you like. The pho Tai is the best in town and there are a number of great... More

Try the pancakes! Delicious! The outdoor garden seating is lovely. Don't listen to the bad reviews. Prices are standard to cheap for BKK1 area. The 'brown water' is tea. The stir-fry will have some bones, as is traditional in SE Asia. If you want snooty wine service and sanitized Western food, go elsewhere. If you want good Vietnamese, try here.

We went there twice during our stay at PP. The venue is very nice and comfortable but when the food arrive, it tends to attract lots of flies and fruit flies, I guess the food is delicious 😁. The first time we went the waiter was really lovely, he was so attentive and did such a great job. We had... More

Visited on Thursday evening - friendly welcome with brown water served immediately. Ordered margaritas, bottle red wine, spring roll starters and 3 mains for two of us. Waiter brought white wine first - went away to look for red. Returned with wrong red and ice bucket. Margaritas arrived - these were okay. Then one main course dish. Then our red... More

What a disappointment ! A good location and ambience but poor service and poor food. We chose meat but both dishes were barely edible, being mainly bone or gristle. We should have been forewarned by the lack of knowledge of wine. Trying to present a different wine to the one selected. Surprise! The red wine arrived with an ice bucket.... More

Well.. I have visited this restaurant over the year several times. Have had different dishes.. It is one of my friends' favourite restaurant who went back to her home country. I have noticed that the food is loosing its freshness. Recently two times I got sick after having lunch there. I ate beef noodles and a pancake at another time.... More

My girlfriend and I were staying nearby and were very hungry. We walked in, they had an army of staff serving nobody and we still had to wait before someone came up to us. He said indoor or out. We were very hot so went indoors into a dank, lacklustre room with another 4 people in it evidently doing nothing... More

Magnolia’s publicity leaflets say it aims to serve the best Vietnamese cuisine in town – and on our visit, the claim certainly seemed to be justified. The restaurant is set in a lovely old villa where you can sit either inside or in a leafy courtyard, and all the food is deliciously fresh and flavoursome. Highlights included the crispy Vietnamese pancakes, cooked to order outdoors, roll-your-own fresh spring rolls and cress soup with fishballs. It’s open for breakfast (great Pho) lunch and dinner, and the cocktails are good too. We visited several times during a recent stay in Phnom Penh, and weren’t disappointed once.
