This place is exceptional. Truly exceptional. Gorgeous place - both upstairs and down. Lovely ambience, great artwork and beautiful ornaments. Oh but the food. Ok, I tried (in the three times I visited – sadly another place I did not discover until too late in my visit) a few things I did not love – but those I did will... More

This Heritage Chinese home is very spacious, and finished in a very rustic manner, everything made to look extremely old. Be prepared to climb up 2 flights of stairs to the dining area. The diners were mostly expatriates. Chef Emmy from South Africa has interesting ideas. Her Cauliflower with Couscous was tasty n refreshing. The Pork cannelloni lacked originality. The... More

I have been lucky to enjoy Chef Amy Baards Food and the wonderful surroundings of Chinese House on many occasions from Sunday Brunches, many lively diners and Sunday brunches with local and visiting friends and romantic dinners to Christmas lunch in garden with family in 2016. Always a pleasure whatever the occasion. Always a pleasure but last week after delicious... More

Just back from sampling Chef Amy's new menu... sun-dried tomato chicken breast was cooked to perfection, the bavette steak was equally as good! Looking forward to our next visit already... if you haven't been yet make it a priority!

A beautiful old merchant house which has been restored, very well. A lovely space to eat in. Cocktails downstairs to start, followed by dinner upstairs. Food was superb, with particular praise for the mushroom ramen and the chocolate pudding, with service that was efficient but not pressured. A delightful evening.

We had a superb Christmas Eve dinner at The Chinese House. The restaurant is housed in an old French colonial building that has been restored beautifully. The lovely architecture is complimented by unique and comfortable decor. We really enjoyed our special pre-fix holiday menu and the live pianist and singer. Most of all we loved the warm hospitality and friendly... More

We had a superb dinner here, amid stunning decor. The laksa and tuna are a must. Come hungry. Come early for a drink at the beautiful bar downstairs.

The Chinese House is an exquisite place. The ideal setting for a romantic dinner set amoungst white table cloths and attentive soft spoken staff. The wine selection is superior and the food is lovely. The price for a meal is not for the faint hearted and will definitely blow your budget but it is worth the experience

On the occasion of the "Four Hands Dinner Contemporary Art", December 1, 2016, I did enjoy a marvelous and spectacular dining event with food and wine pairing. Great service by the Chinese House staff.

Set among the last remaining authentic Chinese House of the Charming City (Phnom Penh), and home to three equally different event spaces under one roof.
