One can find French food in cambodia.and we were pleased with our discovery of La Mamite. They have a set meal of 2 courses for 9.75, high for Phnom Penh, but well worth it. I chose to combine a thick onion soup topped with bread and cheese with salade nicoise. My husband enjoyed his salad a bleu... read more

Went here on our last night. Had a really good meal. Quiet little place with an adorable cat wandering around. The deep fried Camembert was amazing and so was the ice cream sundaes! Nice change of you want something other than Khmer food:)

Two of us had a delightful evening, though alone in the restaurant, with tasty food served by pleasant folks. The chef stopped by to say he hoped we were enjoying our roast beef and entrecôte. We were. The appetizers of mussels and escargots also were delicious. The price was right, less than $80 including two glasses of wine, a bottle... More

La Marmite has been one of my go to places for lunch here in Phnom Penh. They have a daily lunch special and they have recently lowered their prices. I usually have the Small Charcuterie as a starter followed by whatever the daily special is... I have never been disappointed. The food is very good, more than decent-size portions, the... More

La Marmite has long been and still is one of my favorites French restaurants in Phon Penh. Check the daily specials, and the Sunday super special. Really worth a try!

We had out to this place in the evening after business meeting, it was a hidden place which we had to drive several time, I don't think much driver knows this place. We had to use the GPS to find this place and it took me about 45 minutes from the hotel I stayed. Finally we reach the place and... More

The place is cozy and small so it is good for a nice casual dinner. We ordered the Plat du Jour: Roast beef and gratin, and Beef tenderloin with ratatouille and mashed potato. Both meals were superb, and to think they are only about 10USD! The meats were tender and medium rare with simple (not overpowering) sauce so we both... More

It was a bit off putting being the only guests on a Friday evening in this family run restaurant. The waitress explained that people eat early in Phnom Penh. The food was tasty and had a home cooked appearance. The steaks were a good choice. And came from local cattle. The wine list left a bit to be desired.

We arrived early at the restaurant last evening for a meal. The location is not very attractive but once you are inside it is clean, tables are placed at a distance from each other and the welcome warm. We ordered 2 French onion soups, 1 beef tenderloin and 1 fish with tarragon sauce. The food was served piping hot with... More

I have been going to La Marmite for about 4 years. It's changed a bit recently (they've walled off the other half of the dining area, so it's a lot smaller) but things haven't changed so much in that time. It's a very classically French restaurant, run by a French man. The setting is quite nice, and service is very... More
