We reached here at 8 pm. It was crowded. Two groups were already partying. Once they left it was much more comfortable. They serve Indian food and many Indians flock here alongwith local Bengalies. Mutton biryani was good, do was palak paneer. A must visit in dhaka

Nice place with really like art. However the best thing is the food. I have many thousand of Indian meals and tried all my friend I went with and this is the best. Outstanding

Visited this Indian restaurant on 18 February evening with my family. A cozy place with a specious interior. We ordered for parda mutton biryani, plain and garlic nan, paneer butter masala, chicken tikka masala and methi beef. The mutton amount was not proportionate to rice. Nan was overcooked which were little thin and small in size. Paneer butter masala was served with less amount of paneet cubes and taste of butter was missing. Chicken was not enough too. Interestingly, both paneer masala and chickrn tikka masala were served with same quality of gravy. The quality of beef was so so. The overall quality of food was not good in comparison to the cost. Rather, the cost of food is high. We missed the touch of love and respect from the service persons. It was not a good experience for us.

Worst eating experience in Dhaka

One of the worst service ever. The food taste was horrible and inspite of precise taste instructions, we received the routine. The waiters were not friendly and could not understand menu and instructions. Their supervisor came and took feedback nd left immediately for his break without serving us the food.

We entered the premises at 2:15 pm. It was almost empty. We ordered pasinda kabab, daal makhani, chicken tikka and butter chicken with butter naan. First, the attitude of the staff was very cold and indifferent. When the waiter asked us kitchen was going to close shortly we realised why the staff were not so eager. Our late lunch made them upset. Even the person at the reception made no effort to greet us or even acknowledge when we were leaving. Food is okay fare. However, the butter naan was more like fried parata. Not the soft, naan you would expect. And it was the first time I tasted a ‘sweet’ daal makhani. Sadly, the best items was the free papar and mint chutney. I felt the quality had dropped since the last time I was there. I would not recommend Lucknow to anyone unless they improve the attitude of their waiters and staff. Patrons do not visit eateries just for the food. They want to feel appreciated and privileged. That is what makes customers return.

Overpriced with average food

The food seemed overpriced and nothing special. Staff did not even check for last order before kitcken close and I could not finish my dinner. There was no manager available to give feedback (went home much before close of restaurant when many guests were still present). A family on table next to me offered biryani giving me a first hand experience on Bangladeshi hospitality and leaving a pleasant personal experience.

Good gravy items!

Well finally got to try this place on this current visit to Dhaka. We ordered galouti kebab, prawns, chicken kebab, hara bara kebab, corn kebab in appetizers, Dal makhani, chicken tikka, paneer kadai along with assorted breads and kulfi and firni for dessert. Well the galoti not that good, main course was much tastier than the appetizers. Service is bit slow but ok for this place as the food is heavy so one gets time between the appetizers and maincourse. Location is good and in the heart of the city. Place is clean aswell well lit. Will visit again to try different dishes to to come to a conclusion as menu is quite big. Its north Indian food.

Kebabs and Nans are excellent.

Went back after a few months to satisfy my craving for a kebab. The first thing I noticed was the paintings have changed. This restaurant can boast of a running art exhibition the year round, the only one in Dhaka. The menu was also a new one but I was relieved to find some of my favorites were still included. The giloti Laban, the pasinda, the boti. Although their biryanis fell below my taste bar, but the karai paneer is excellent. Overall very good value for money. Recommended

Delicious food with India test

Great food, Indian cooking with localisation

Great selection of food, excellent quantity and quantity. We realized post delivery of our ordered dishes that each dish is enough for two plus persons. The only drawback was the slow service despite the restaurant not being fully occupied during our visit.

Food....was good... still we are relying

Coming to Dhaka, going to a restaurant a bit of torture to anyone , in terms of money and quality of food . On 27 th we went to Lucknow to have lunch . North Indian cuisine without oil... we ordered mutton murra , bbq prawns and handdi biriyani , tandoori chicken and garlic nan. Happy with food we all three. Cooking was good . Food was satisfied our stomach and souls. I wish if you really serious in business to keep people’s mind .

Tasty Awadhi delights in Dhaka
