I went to this restaurant twice to eat dinner and lunch. I took my family and friends as well. It is in the basement, and there are I think 10 stairs to get to entrance, so it is not for people with mobility issues. The restaurant is decorated in traditional ornaments and plates, and carpets, and the waiters are dressed in traditional clothes. You have to wait to be seated. We ordered quite a lot of dishes to try everything and all the food was very good. I would 100% recommend this restaurant for eating. It is also customary to get served by the waiters, they cut your food and serve you on your plate. I am not used to this, so it was new for me.

A great place to try a variety of local dishes at reasonable prices and in traditionally decorated interiors. The place was recommended to us by our hotel reception staff and we did like the food they serve - we tried dolma, chicken kebab, chicken on board and the eggplant salad, everything was fresh and tasty. The waiters speak English, the service quick and attentive.

A must visit for any tourist looking to sample traditional Azerbaijani cuisine. The restaurant is located in the city centre in the pedestrian district close to Starbucks. Although situated at the basement level, the entrance is at street level. The ambience is very unique, as the walls have been painted over for the stonework to appear in traditional designs. A wide choice of dishes was available, which we found to be very reasonably priced for the location and the ambience. Staff were friendly and courteous, and service was relatively prompt. My wife and I were very impressed with the unique nature of some of the dishes and were happy to have had the opportunity to taste traditional Azerbaijani cuisine. Which tasted very good, by the way. We dined there twice during our short 4 night stay in Baku.

Food is ok, service is slow and rude waiters. Went for dinner with family and friends, after seating it took 20mins for someone to come asking for the order. Food took another 20mind and additional 26 mins for my son’s order. Food was mediocre, price isn’t cheap but what made me give a 3 star is rudeness of the waiters. Service was awful and waiters hardly care about your needs. I will avoid this place in future.

The restaurant is located in the very center of Baku on a shopping street, a very crowded place with a lot of tourists, there are few locals in the establishment. Mostly foreigners. The service is not the best in Azerbaijan - you can sit there for 10 minutes with an empty glass; they won’t come up or ask. Food for 4, I ordered pilaf with beef, the meat was not very good, dry, tough, unexpected for me. Since this is not my first time in Azerbaijan, the meat in this country has always been the most delicious for me, the portions are large, the prices are reasonable. You can go just once, but there are still a lot of decent establishments in Baku with good cuisine and the best service

It's a normal restaurant, but it's not good enough for downtown. Portions small, service so bad, first mixed up order, then brought dry fish (barbecue) shamefully of course!! I recommend tea there!

This restaurant is truly the best in the area, known for its authentic dishes and exceptional flavors. What made our experience even more special was our waiter, Ramiz. He took the time to thoroughly explain each dish, even going so far as to bring out raw ingredients from the kitchen to give us a closer look. The meats are incredibly fresh, and even the yogurt tastes like it came straight from the farm. If you visit, be sure to ask for a seat at Ramiz's table for an unforgettable dining experience.

I was very pleased. The food in the underground restaurant is very good, nostalgic, made of stone, and the prices are affordable. The employees are very good. Enver is a great employee. Mr. Recep was also very helpful. He is a good employee.

Cave like feel and a beautiful ambience. Staff dressed up in a traditional attire added to the feel of Azerbaijan. A very extensive menu but a very very less choice for vegetarian food. Although the staff helped us choose crispy eggplant salad and mix veg bake style dish. Eggplant salad was absolutely amazing a little tangy and little sweet and the eggplants were crispy. But the baked kinda dish had only mushrooms and some chestnuts with absolutely no flavor and taste. Breads ordered were really fresh.

The room is a basement type, no windows, poorly ventilated, stuffy and cramped. We visited on a Sunday evening, almost full seating in several rooms, only tourists. The menu is extensive, small written, upon my request the waiter said that there were no traditional dishes, I ordered shish kebab, which turned out to be very tough. Then it turned out that the requested dishes were... The service is not worth its 10%. We also ordered kutabs, kyufta, and tea. We won't be back again.

The restaurant has a nice interior, the menu is extensive, beautiful, but here is the kitchen ....It is the most terrible restaurant, the food is prepared for the flow of guests, that is, for you it is just warmed up, choban salad (tomatoes, greens, cucumbers) - portion compared to the price - minuscule, but that's okay, he clearly already stood a couple of three, or maybe more hours (tired) applied as from a basin, kutabs - heated, that is, cooked in the morning, and we were at 10 p.m., chicken in cherry sauce with kashayaei - also, chicken separately, cooked not even today I think, sauce separately, potatoes with lamb - same story, lavash heated to become soft, table in a word, although the price tag is high. In 3 days we've been to different establishments - that's the worst.

In appearance, the restaurant is very inconspicuous and does not inspire confidence, in the basement. But! It was recommended to us by locals and we did not regret coming for dinner. There are a lot of seats, we found a table freely on Saturday evening. The service is good, the food is delicious, very large portions, we didn’t have to wait long. prices are about the same as everywhere else. The only negative is that due to the not very convenient location of the halls, the waiters waited a long time to ask for the bill. overall - we were very pleased

I had seen this restaurant on a couple of YouTube videos so when I saw the excellent TA reviews as well I thought this would be a good option for my last night in Baku. The restaurant is very close to fountain square and is easy to find. The restaurant itself is below floor level and opens out into quite a large area made up of several arched ceiling rooms. I didn’t have a reservation but there was plenty of room. The menu was multilingual so I found it easy to look at it (it has photos too) and decide (though there is a large choice). My waiter spoke good English and was really friendly and helpful. I ordered the chicken Caesar salad to start followed by skewers of lamb and chicken with a vegetable saj- I preferred ordering that way as I wanted the meat from the skewer rather than ordering a lamb or chicken saj where the meat is cooked with the vegetables. The food was excellent - the skewers were cooked to perfection and the saj such a tasty accompaniment. With a couple of local beers the meal was complete - thoroughly enjoyed it and was only £24 all in.

A national style establishment. They serve completely unusual tandoor tortillas. Lamb and potato lyulas are very good. Preventive maintenance, fast and beautiful serving. Nice wine card.

Located in the center of Baku, Dolma is clearly a favourite with both locals and tourists. Underground, cavern-style, the setting is traditional and so is the food. The staff are well trained, friendly and helpful in English. I tried 3 spicy pancakes as entree, then had the stew which is served on burning charcoals (I found the stew very greasy and tough). Together with a beer and a glass of red, I paid 40 Manat.
