This was our first visit to Tavern Yerevan. We decided to go there after reading the great reviews online. We ordered a bottle of Karas (local dry white wine), together with the following: - Pickled vegetables (starter); - Armenia salad (starter); - Kharcho (starter); -...Chakhokhbili with Rooster (Main Dish); - Khashlama (Main Dish); - Kinkhalis (Side Dish); and - Khatchapuri (Side Dish). The food was delicious and the portions were big. Prices were reasonable. Extensive wine list for all budgets. Service was great. Our waiter saw that our daughter was bored and gave her paper to draw on which was very nice of him. Last but not least, the toilets were very clean. Will definitely dine again there in the future. Highly recommended!More

A perfect restaurant to gather with friends and family. Incredible live traditional Armenian music accompanied with delicious food.
Tavern Yerevan probably offers the best experience both through Armenian cuisine and Armenian motifs and atmosphere. I'm really in love with this chain of restaurants, but the one in Teryan is probably the best with it's tandyr and folk dance shows. I love that they...always have rooms available for different groups and they still feel authentic. My compliments on all the meat dishes and pickles! I would probably recommend this place as a first restaurant to visit.More

Upon stepping into Tavern Yerevan, one is immediately transported to the heart of Armenia – the ambiance, music, and aromas are a true reflection of the country's rich heritage. The menu boasts a selection of traditional dishes that highlight the intricate flavors of Armenian cuisine....Every dish I tried was a delightful surprise to the palate, from the savory khorovats to the heartwarming khash soup. Not to mention, their wine selection perfectly complements the food, showcasing the best of local vineyards. The staff's genuine hospitality and their attention to detail made the dining experience even more memorable. A visit to Yerevan isn't complete without a meal at Tavern Yerevan. Highly recommended!More

We ordered a beetroot salad, greens/herbs, some elaborate dish baked enveloped by bread and kyufta (labeled as tenderloin, but more akin to a meat loaf) All the food was presented quite nicely and the waiter even cut open the bread-covered dish on our table as...if serving some Michellin-star dish. And it makes sense, for it both looked great and tasted great. As for the rest of the dishes, the beetroot salad tasted very basic. Not great compared to many other beetroot salads I have had. The kyufta was… underwhelming. I had honestly not expected much, but was overwhelmed by curiosity as to what this dish was, named something quite similar a very different dish “kofta”, while being labeled as “beef tenderloin”, yet looking nothing like it. So maybe it was my own fault, but I was not happy with it. At least I had all the herbs to make it more appetizing, but it was not great. Prices were decent. Seems to be quite average for the area. The service was a mixed bag. The staff generally seemed quite great and the main waiter, who served our table, was quite kind and even joked a little (seems to be rare for the region), yet both he and other waiters would generally avoid us or look the other way, when we tried to make eye contact (especially when we wanted to pay the bill). Then, when we were about to pay, another waiter stepped in. His attitude was very arrogant and far from friendly. My card declined as I tried scanning it. He muffled, grunted, said something in incredibly broken English and I tried to use the chip instead. He wiggled my card around furiously and still said something in disgruntled, muffled English. At least I brought cash and we could pay with that. (It turned out there was a spending limit on my bank’s side (for non-EU countries) that I exceeded at the moment I wanted to pay) The way he handled the situation made me feel quite odd and I really did not want to run into that person again. So, in the end, most staff seemed ok, but one staff member was awful. Also, they gave us a water and soda on the house, which was a great.More

We went to this place to enjoy the food . The service is excellent, food quality is very good. What we did not know about before and no one told us was the Music charge of 2000 per person. We did not want the music...but sine we were tourist, they wanted to take advantage and we were charged 8000 for 4 people. For that, I don’t recommend this place.More
