I visited this restaurant during my stay in Yerevan, it was the best Armenian restaurant we visited during our stay! The food was very good and the waiters were happy to help with food and wine recommendations. Prices were very reasonable for the amount of food that was served. They made us feel very welcome and would definitely visit again!

The food at Lavash is delicious and you can have something simple, like soup, salad, and bread, or more extravagant, like a traditional dish of pumpkin stuffed with rice and dried fruits. Either way, it will be tasty and filling. There is also plenty to choose from if you are vegetarian or vegan, which makes this restaurant especially appealing to me, personally. The wine list contains Armenian and international wines, and the servers are equipped to make good recommendations.
The staff service is the best I've seen in Yerevan after a week. They are friendly, incredibly prompt at delivering food and taking away plates, happy to chat, but never in a rush to see you go. The staff I've interacted with speak English well, which is also helpful for those of us traveling through for work or other reasons.
The only thing that I would like to see changed is more (or all) space dedicated to non-smoking. If you don't have a reservation, chances are you'll be asked to sit upstairs in the much larger smoking dining area, with the promise that the air conditioning keeps the air fresh. It still smells like smoke though, even if it's not thick with smoke, and if someone at the table sitting next to you starts smoking, the air conditioner cannot account for that.

Super!
Excellent every time we come there. Warm atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff, tasty food, competitive prices.
We had special stool for the bag! Fancy that!
Our waiter Steypa (Стёпа) spoke fluent English, recommended interesting dishes and never let our glasses to be empty.
So far - Lavash is our favourite restaurant in Yerevan.
Definitely coming again.

I visited the restaurant with my sister recently.
I understand that it's their "service culuture", but the waitresses were trying WAY too hard to push us into getting what we said we did not eed or want to eat. I think you guys need to change that, it was A LOT. Saying hi, welcome, please take a seat, asking how's the food only once, saying goodbye we look forward to seeing you again are more than enough!
The food... oh the food... we ordered salads and two drinks, salads were as blend as they could be... I think they are the easiest to make.
There's nothing special about the food, especially for the money you pay.
Won't be going back there & will tell all of my friends, family not to as well.

Thank you for your feedback. We are upset hearing that we weren't able to meet your expectations.
Usually our service is described as professional, quick and not intrusive.Our waiters introduce the menu but the final choice is up to the guest.The menu is extensive with different choices, unfortunately you have not mention what salads you have tried and what exactly you did not like.
It is better to turn to managers just during the visit and inform them about all concerns.Please be sure that in this case proper solutions will be found very quickly. The prices are reasonable for this class of restaurants and are being considered as middle range in Yerevan.
Anyway we will use your comments to make things better.

This was our second time coming to Lavash and we were yet again disappointed. First off, their non smoking area is outdoors on the ground level and their smoking area is indoors on the second floor. The absurdity of this setup is beyond comprehensible. If you are not a smoker and seated on the second floor, prepare to be inhaling large amounts of cigarette smoke. We saw a tiny infant screaming and gasping for air because it was so intolerable in there. I kindly asked to be seated in the non-smoking area and was rudely told by the waiter that I had rsvp-ed for the smoking area.. something I would NEVER do in a million years. Indoor smoking was banned by the government 2 years ago so it's unclear why the 2nd floor of Lavash is a chamber of smoke.
The food was decent, but the whole situation with people waiting to be seated and reservations being made is just ridiculous. There are other restaurants in Yerevan with far better food which don't even require reservations. This restaurant favors people who speak Russian, so if you don't speak the language and are not euro trash, forget about getting good service. Never coming back here again with all the other amazing dining options in Yerevan. Highly pretentious and overrated.

Thank you for the review. We are glad you find our food decent.
But that’s a pity that we could not manage to please you. We would like to make some necessary clarifications for the other readers. It is desirable not to distort reality. There are no special rules for Lavash Restaurant in Yerevan, Armenia. Easy to check this information even via internet. The law, adopted on February 13, 2020, prohibits smoking in public places and tightens the conditions for the sale of tobacco. Some provisions of the law do not enter into force yet. In public catering establishments smoking will be banned only from 2022.
As you have mentioned in your review people were waiting to be seated, for you, it is ridiculous for those people their choice and wish. By the way, most of them were from abroad. As well as the kids parents know that the smoking area is situated on the second floor, so it is again their choice, as well as the child could scream for any other reason. Even the staff badges have English version, our staff speaks English, our menus are in 3 languages.
Our doors are open for local people and for tourists for all over the world, and it is not fair and polite to mention language or origin issues.
This platform gives equal rights for the guests, as well as, for the restaurant representatives. So we will leave the judgement for the readers.

The place is very welcoming, and cosy.
The food tastes perfect and the portions are good.
Pumpkin soup is much recommended !
Our waiter Sergei was very attentive and did his job perfectly, specially while serving us their best dessert : the record breaking Mille-Feuille !
We will definitly come back.

Perfect restaurant if you want to try armenian typical food. The atmosphere was great both for couples and for families. We ordered Lavash, Dolma, Arishta and bread and we spent 20€ in total,which is a great price, also considering the high quality of the food. Everything was high quality and the amount of food was perfect. Even the bread was fresh and amazing. Our waiter David was so friendly and kind with all our needs.
Would definitely recommend this place to everyone looking for an armenian restaurant with such an amazing quality/price rate!

The restaurant is situtated near the Cascades and it is very accessible since it is within the city center. We arrived there but it was full inside so they asked if it is okay to eat outside and it is winter that time. We were okay with since we really want to try their food at that time. Despite being seated outside on a winter night, the temperature is still pleasant because they provide heating and blankets as well.
The food, is perfect. We ordered traditional Armenian dishes like the pumpkin one, the dumplings, lavash of course and some grilled food. (sorry for the names cos I forgot what they are in Armenian). All of the food we ordered is delicious. The serving is not that long too even if the whole restaurant is packed. Robert or Richard (not sure exactly with the name) who served us is very friendly and he gives good advice as to what food to eat.
If I come back to Armenia, I will definitely try this restaurant again.

Thanks to Rizmak , I had one of the best meals in Yerevan. The restaurant has a warm and inviting ambience. I asked my server Rizmak & Arthurer and they both had great recommendations that made a very hungry guest, satisfied with a very authentic Armenian meal.

I visited Yerevan for 3 days and visited this restaurant twice, both times for lunch. The food is delicious, cocktails are great, and the staff are warm and friendly. During my second visit, I had a 30 minute window after which I had to leave to catch a flight. The waiter made sure they prepared my dish (Ghapama - which normally takes up to 40 minutes to cook) in 25 minutes to make sure I didn't leave Yerevan without trying it. Lavash is a must for anyone travelling to this lovely city.

Im from USA and i just moved to Armenia to live here temporarily and yesterday was my second visit to lavash. One thing i can tell and i noticed costumer service in Armenia is definitely something thats missing EVERYWHERE but not at Lavash restaurant we were welcomed with a smile and got a table right away. Waiter approached us right away again with a smile even though he had a mask on but the way they talk to you you can tell he had a smile under the mask. I wish i could remember his name. Food is delicious here anything on their menu is full of flavor and soo yummmyy. Our waiter was constantly checking up on us to make sure we were doing good not like other places when you have to waive and hunt the waitresses so they can come to you. Basically long story short costumer services and food here is top of the line and i will definitely be back there way more many times because of their service and food. Thank you lavash and Artashes i hope that was our waiters name.

Food quality 2/5 : Disappointing, why so much hype?
Service 1/5: Most waiters' attitude show that they consider the job beneath them and the customer should be consider a privilege for being served by them.
Value 1/5: Too expensive for the average local, designed with the tourist in mind without the quality or the service.
Ambiance 2/5: Basic run of the mill place.
The restaurant owner takes the 10% service charge and does not pass it on to the staff as customary in the West. The entire principle is wrong!!! It then leaves the waiters expecting the customer to tip in addition to the service charge.
All customers who tip in addition to the service charge, are condoning restaurant owner's action to rub its own staff!

Thank you for the feedback. But it is really strange that you are posting very similar review for our second Restaurant. It seems that you are not happy that our Restaurant is favorite among locals and tourists. The prices are reasonable for this class of restaurants and are being considered as middle range in Yerevan.
Tastes differ, so if you do not like the food, service or ambiance it could be considered as usual for the guests. But you are using this platform for expressing ideas concerning financial issues which is not fair.
The last paragraph is more like an accusation, than concern. Our staff is not happy that you are acting like lawyer without hiring you for this.
We are always open for constructive criticism and for fair and worthy competition, but here we faced with quite different thing.

The restaurant itself is definitely a nice place to be. The main impression is seing the people making lavash. It is a neat restaurant, clean and with friendly personnell.
For me, my personal highlight is the bread. We ordered walnut pastry with fresh bread and it was amazing having this with warm bread. This makes the restaurant outstanding.
The other food is living up to the top standards as well. But the bread is the real differentiator

The atmosphere that de waiters were making was just amazing... As a "veggie" person i found rly tasty food there. The waiter's service was so kind and caring that we didn't even had to ask for smth and wait long for.
Also... The Lavash dry wine is now my favourite armenian wine.

Lavash is one of our bucket list restaurant to try in Armenia. Its very popular, not only with tourist but also locals that is why you need to make a reservation as they are full most of the time. They have authentic unique dishes and the service is superb. One server assisted us named "Karen" bdwy he is a guy. He patiently wait for us to choose from the menu and serves the food , he even took our plates and change to new one when we stop eating and order new set as we are very happy with our 1st order. Overall so happy to experience it. Next time, hope we can try the guiness award sweets as we are already loaded with main course at the time. Thank you lavash.
