Our hotel slightly warned us about going to this place as I think they were worried we wouldn't enjoy certain aspects. They said it was noisy and people 'dropped things on the floor' !! When we arrived, the restaurant was already busy mainly with large...groups and it was very noisy indeed. There was karaoke going on all around and music/voices clashing. Looked to be all local people and the staff didn't speak English. However, the menu did have both pictures and English translations so no real problem. Food was fine and tasty and beer very cheap ! I think we paid 40p for a small bottle of beer ! As an experience of local culture it was enormous fun and the staff were very kind in trying to meet our needs despite the language barrier !More

2T is in an area of the New city, in which new restaurants are popping up all the time. 2T has a twist though, as the owner has some inspiration from abroad for the interior. The food is truly Vietnamese though. One of my favourites...are beef la lot, which you grill yourself at the table.More

This place is popular to foreign tourists not least because the owner speaks English while in Hue, requesting English ability limits the number of restaurants to fewer than a handful. The atmosphere here is no frills with lots of locals eating beside tourists. Food is...pretty good and price is very very reasonable. The owner gives you recommendations if you ask. It's a nice place to cut your teeth on Hue's specialities before exploring other places.More

I was in a hurry but I wanted a nice dinner so I quickly did some search on TripAdvisor. The 4.5 star ranking captured my attention. I chose it without a second thought. However, I was completely disappointed with this restaurant once I got there....I expected some authentic Hue dishes. But it turned out to serve Vietnamese cuisine in general. And my meal couldn't be more terrible. The steam rice must have been cooked with way too much more water than necessary. If I ever make steam rice that badly at home, I will definitely throw it away and cook another pot. So I was wondering how they could keep it and serve it to customers. The sauteed morning glory was no better. It's obviously another failure.More

The pork is sublime. The hotpot out of this world. It looks more local but absolutely would recommend this place to everyone. Go now!

Get the owner to recommend some dishes. Had the same meal twice in a row it was so good. Definitely do not pass on the crispy pork leg. Had three orders.

The food at 2T could not have been better. The roasted pork was outstanding! Tried the morning glory, chicken with sticky rice, and can't remember everything we ate but it was all great. James takes the place to the next level. Extremely courteous and friendly....He helped with recommendations and took time to sit down and chat. Clean, great food, cheap beer, and an extremely nice staff. Great spot.More

Blessedly removed from the tourist district, this peaceful restaurant offers a fairly extensive menu of well prepared food with good service. Mostly patronized by locals, it offers a special treat to travelers in the guise of the owner, James. Educated in the West and very...fluent in English he offers interesting insight into his native land and is an engaging conversationalist. Altogether dinner at 2T was a very memorable evening.More

We went there and found beer quite cheap. But then we realized food were expensive although quite tasty. That was like a trick for us. They also charge for wet tissue without telling us from begening. Seemed like we had tourist menu as we saw...alot of local there but we got only english menu. I don't think i will come back.More

The food was mediocre and we have definitely eaten much better from many street stalls in Vietnam. The pricing was clearly for the tourists (over-priced, not worth the money). They separately charged us for all the napkins we used!
