Incredible place to eat! Food good with most amazing ambiance. Highly recommend!! Of all the places from Saigon, Hoi An and Hue, this has been the best.

Our guide recommended this restaurant and we weren't disappointed. We accepted waiters suggested dishes to share and all were very good.

My advice, when you visit Hue, and are looking for a restaurant with both charm and fine food, would be to seriously consider this place. You'll need a taxi. We paid about 75,000 Dong to come from the Indochine Hotel. The site, well off the river, would never be found by simply wandering. The grounds and building, originally owned by... More

This restaurant is just outside of town so you need to take a taxi to get to it. The setting is fantastic. The restaurant is comprised of a few buildings some of which were the original home of a man who worked for the king providing protection. The buildings are beautiful wood carvings, with a number of separate eating areas... More

As part of our tour, we had lunch here on our visit to Hue. The food was very good and tastefully presented. The local dishes were subtly spiced with pleasant flavours. The restaurant's decor is interesting but very dark in colour. This would be offset on bright light on a sunny day. The staff were friendly and efficient. A good... More

We enjoyed the food, the service was excellent and we got a 10-minute tour of the place that's set up to look like what ancient homes in Hue used to be - so a little history and some art too.

Ancient Hue (not to be confused with Ancient Town) is out of the way, so you'll need a taxi driver who knows where it is, but it's not so far and taxis are cheap so it's easily worth the trip. It's a group of spacious traditional style buildings surrounding a garden. There's an imperial menu, an a la carte menu,... More

Amid a private visiting session, our guide took my family to this restaurant for lunch. Strolling up a couple of stairs to the eatery, we entered a wonderful garden range. The inside eatery setting was exquisite and nourishment extremely delightful. After lunch, we visited the all around kept up and great garden house in which the eatery dwells. This was... More

This place is wonderful. You require a taxicab to arrive, however it will inspire you to see an alternate part of the city. It was calm when we went, certainly did not require a reservation. The staff was a highlight, charming and proficient. My significant other had a fish dish, and it was flavorful. I had the illustrious tasting menu,... More

Trained at a five star hotel, Ancient Hue's chef mixes local specialties with Asian and European flavors to create memorable modern-day royal feasts. Rounding out the fine dining experience are creative cocktails blended with local fruits and an impressive international wine list.
