This a good place (air conditioned!) to go for local food that is very fresh, tasty and inexpensive. We had the veggie spring rolls and the fish hot pot that came with rice on the side, they were both good and the service was nice. Paintings by a local artist decorate the walls. No credit cards.

Nothing special, had a cafe style feel about it. Drinks were very cheap and they had a good selection but the food was average. Service was quick but nothing special. If you want a really cheap place to eat or to have a few drinks then this is ok but there's much better bars and restaurants out there for this.

We ate the set menu which included a crispy rice wafer with vegetable stuffing to start with followed by a chicken dish, a prawn dish, vegetables and rice and fruit to finish for 170,000 Dong each. A couple of local Huda beers and some water to go with the tasty food and we were satisfied we'd eaten well.

Finally a place with shrimp in Vietnam that you don't have to rip the heads off and peel the shells. Believe it or not they make good french fries.

Cheap and cheerful but with decent quality food, especially the local stuff, and served up by a friendly couple and their staff. Great for an early breakfast off the train!

Upon entering Banana Mango we were welcomed by "Mango", a delightful lady overseeing a pleasant, basic restaurant specialising in very good local food and a range of fruit cocktails; mostly Vodka or Rum based. We chose the set menu which included about 6 dishes including fresh salad, spicy chicken and ginger, fresh fruit and prawns; all very tasty. Again as... More

We were recommended this restaurant by our tour guide only to find him and his family eating there when we dropped in for dinner! Busy place, competently run by a local family and lots of locals were there when we visited. It was a genuine insight into genuine Vietnamese food!

The only reason why I didn't give this 5 stars is they don't take plastic. Food is very good and served quickly. I had their shrimp and mushrooms with rice.
