After a few days of Vietnamese food, we wanted to take a break and popped into Take, which was very close to our hotel. The first sign that we were onto a winner was the presence of 3 Japanese men at the next table over. Whilst Take didn't serve the best katsu curry I'd ever had, the tuna rolls, soft... More

We wanted something different for dinner to celebrate my wife's birthday and chanced on this Japanese restaurant. We ordered sashimi, pan fried scallop, ebi tempura, Agedashi Tofu, Katsu Curry Rice and green tea ice cream. For 610,000 dong, our dinner was value for money with tasty and palatable dishes. the only thing we were a little disappointed is that they... More

After a week of Vietnamese food, we settled on something we knew quite well already - sushi. The restaurant was full when we got there (even though it's small, that's a good sign), so we had to wait a few minutes. When we got the menu we were shocked: even though we had pretty much gotten used to the prices... More

The restaurant is in a convenient location and the head staff woman speaks Japanese. The restaurant has a cute cat that you can pet while waiting for you dinner.

Japanese restaurant on Tran Con Van recommended by our guide book. Small enough place but nicely decorated and inviting - they also had a private room near to the front door. We had mixed sushi, ramen and teriyaki chicken with rice. All was very good quality and including a beer and some saki came in at VND 300k. Really excellent... More

After a week in Vietnam we were all craving something different. Since Friday is usually "sushi night" at home we decided to give Take a try having read a good review in Lonely Planet. It was amazing! The salmon sashimi absolutely melted in your mouth and the kids avocado Maki were plump roles with the freshest of fresh avocado. Edamame... More

Excellent sushi! Very reasonable prices and an extensive menu with pictures and explanations in English. Good drink selection as well, including sake and wine. The waitstaff were attentive, but they didn't hang over you awkwardly like sometimes in Asia. If you like Japanese, or want a break from Vietnamese, then give it a try! Great location too - very close... More

Take note, this resto is listed twice in TA - also listed under Take. We love Japanese food & were delighted to find this resto across the road from the Imperial Hotel. The menu is extensive & there was everything on offer that we love: - selection of sushi, including a sushi tempura - a first for us, and some... More
