I had another chance to come back to Vietnam, and this Quan ngon 138 is one of my go-to’s. The food and service are still okay like always. The best food is hu tieu - the one Gordon recommended on some Master Chef. The broth,...I must say, is super, besides good, fresh shrimps. Chopped pork and squid are fine though. This restaurant also serves food from other parts of Vietnam. We've always tried some, and they were cool for me. You guys should come and check this out!More

My wife ordered chicken with rice and veggies, but she got pork instead. As we told the staff, they started arguing with us for more than 10 minutes (!) that it is our mistake not theirs. The staff arguments were really absurd e.g. “she pointed...with the finger at the pork because it was close on the menu list to the chicken” or “it will be hard to sell the pork dish to some other guest now so she has to eat it”. Even if the food was ok this was a really strange and unpleasant experience after all...More

It is very nice decored restaurant with large selection of Food on menu. We opted for some traditional Vietnamese food and enjoyed that very much. How erver service is less friendly compare to standard Vietnamese restaurants.

Dined here after some excitement from my girlfriend after perusing their menu while we walked back to our hotel. The menu looks fabulous. And has a lot of choices on offer. However... It took 3 attempts to get a server to take our drinks order...despite being one of maybe 5 customers in the whole place then once we ordered it was a lengthy wait For our meals to be served and oddly enough the appetisers arrived last. The meals themselves werepretty average at best. Chewy fish cakes felt like chewing rubber, and the delicious sauce couldn’t save them. Squid dish was nice but nothing like the picture .. the McDonald’s effect. Nice visually on the menu then underwhelming when it arrives. We ordered quarter of a suckling pig and while it was delicious .. for some reason they decided to charge us 50% over the menu listed price , when queried the staff member who previously had conversed with us in English .. suddenly didn’t understand. We were also charged for some tissues we didn’t ask for .. no big deal here but made for some confusion with the bill. Also for Vietnam’s standards was very pricy considering the street food we had been eating was much nicer Upside The fresh spring rolls were very yummy and tasty dipping sauce with them.More

You can order and have your food deliver via Grab. You can find authentic Vietnamese food here with generous serve and not pricy. Will come back. We prefer this restaurant over Quan Bui.

The menu here is huge, something for even the pickiest eaters. Really enjoyed their signature beef dish. The servers are the reason they lost a star, they are rude.

The restaurant is big and cozy. The menu is huge and you have a lot of options with meat, fish, seafood and veggie. Right next to the restauration independence palace, good option when you go to visit it.

I took 2 friends here, nothing is great, nothing is terrible. The taste of the food is not very tasty, maybe cook for tourists. Service is ok. The only good thing is they have good system.

I absolutely love this place. As a westerner visiting HCMC, if you don’t want to go “all out” on local street food and sit on the little plastic stools on the sidewalks (you should by the way) then this place is a decent substitute. They...have just about every dish you can imagine, it’s open air so you FEEL the outside, and everything is cooked in the open so it smells amazing too. The food is high quality and not very expensive (though definitely more than what you’d pay at a street stall). Try a bunch of different things but also know that the dishes are pretty big - so bring your appetite.More

Good place if you want to sample Vietnamese street food in one location. Best would we to walk around the various stalls, have a look, and order what you feel like trying. They’re not the best, but pretty good and authentic. Fortunately, no off-putting street...food dishes, like dog or cat meat, or cow head - mind you, they could be delicious for the daring ones. The photos shown here are from other places, in Vietnam or China.More

In terms of finding it , you should have no problem. All taxi drivers know where it is. The restaurant has menu so you can order without leaving your seat. But the food really is so so, and tourist prices are charged there.
