Got thịt nguội, cold meat. Lots of meat but still small enough to eat comfortably, meat quality not bad imo. Pate is more mild than other places, which can be good and they put in a lot. Butter/Mayo was smaller in amount and not so...noticable. The bread itself was chewy and crunchy. They had spicy peppers in the veggie bag too which is a big plus for me. Best out of the 3 banh mi places I tried in Saigon.More

Love the bahn mi i think its the best in town. One cost 68,000 but its full with ham, and minced beef, and pickles. Reached there in the morning and there was a queue, anyway they are fast. Recommended to go off peak hour to...avoid crowds.More

This Bahn Mi is stupendous. Recommended by our Hotel. I went yesterday for one and enjoyed it so much with beer that I sent my Parents to get more. I love the ingredients and yes you have to be open minded . For what its...worth seeing lines with locals and tourists you know its excellent. . You first wait in the line on the left and pay and get a receipt then you go to the line on the right to pick up your order by giving them your receipt. Hint go with a partner one waits to pay and the other in the pickup line. The entire process takes about 10 minutes depending on the length of the lines. Another tip is to enjoy it with beer or soda! Enjoy!More

For the LOVE OF GOD order 1 banh mi per 2 people, and ask to cut it in half! The portion can easily serve 2, maybe 3 people if you order an empty loaf of bread to split it into. If you order 1 each...person, you'll be throwing away a lot of food. This is coming from a party of fat Americans! It's truly an obscene portion. About the food itself: This is more of an abomination, grotesque evolution of what a banh mi really is. If you’ve ever seen one of those huge food challenges that hardly anyone finishes, this is it. They just stuff a kilogram of fatty, mass-market meat in there and call it a sandwich. It is very fatty, VERY salty, and only tastes good for the first 3 or 4 bites. There is no nuance, no balance, no soul to it. However, what IS there is a generous portion of food that can be used over 2, maybe 3 meals. That makes it a good value if you’re trying to save money and/or time buying food.More

This Banh Mi was a MONSTER. It belongs amongst the greats: Sasquatch, Godzilla, King Kong, Lochness, Goblin, ghoul, a zombie with no conscience… and this Banh Mi from Bánh Mì Huynh Hoa. It also seemed to be the overwhelming favorite for the best Banh Mi...in Ho Chi Minh, so we went around lunch time with high expectations. We were met with a brutal line directly in the sun that was taking no prisoners. Much to the sun's chagrin, there was an employee handing out umbrellas to shade customers. Phenomenal attention to detail, you really can’t teach that. White glove service. While approaching the front of the line, you can see the employees working in an assembly line that would make Henry Ford proud. One worker cuts the bread, another puts the meats in, another spreads pate and mayo, and the last one completes the process by wrapping them and snapping a rubber band on. I thought it was gonna be a long wait, but after 10 min we got to the front of the line and put our order in. It is the only thing on the menu, they do one thing and they do it well. We got our sandwiches, and this Banh Mi was literally the size of my forearm ahahaha. It was honestly so big that it was tough to eat… No Diddy. It lived up to every last bit of hype for me. The bread is really what I feel sets it apart from other Banh Mi’s we had on our trip. It is clearly freshly made, and they were delivering a fresh batch from their location two doors over… just a basket full of fresh baguettes is a beautiful sight. My only complaint is that they don’t put the veggies in the sandwich, as you get a little bag of them and have to do it yourself. They let Henry Ford down… A must try when in Ho Chi Minh. Thank you Bánh Mì Huynh Hoa, you a mf MONSTER! IG @jnov_ Tiktok @jnov_reviewsMore

Everyone recommends this place for the best Banh Mi. There's alway a queue outside and limited seating inside. Due to its popularity, it's like a factory inside with the sandwiches being mass produced to meet demand. Unfortunately, despite being freshly made on the premises, the...Banh Mi lacked any really wow factor. There are better, more authentic places around.More

I’d read very good things before going. My boyfriend absolutely loved the banh mi here, amongst the very top we tried in Vietnam for him. Packed full of ingredients, tasty and rich. The meat quality could be better but otherwise, great sandwich. Quick service, very...reasonably priced. Come very hungry or share. Luckily no queue when we were there.More

I did quite a bit of research to get one of the best Banh Mi sandwiches in Saigon. Navigated my way there. And sorry to say this place doesn’t make it! They are mass and fast producing the sandwiches. It was piled so high with...meats and wilty veggies that you can barely eat it. The bun was really crispy all the way thru. Overall we didn't like them and tossed them in the garbage. Now after having said all that I have also had about 6 other Banh Mi sandwiches in many places all over Vietnam and they were wonderful. Made with care and fresh ingredients. So I feel I have something to compare to. Anyways I thought they were terrible and perhaps there are better places.More

I hadn't read any reviews so I didn't know what to expect. A local had recommended it to me since I was staying near by. Huge line, mostly local. 68K for a bahn mi so more than the others. BUT it's also a huge bahn...mi with a whole lot of meat in it. Could have been two meals but decided to hurt myself and eat it all in one sitting. The little bag of greens that comes with it is a nice touch since it won't make the bahn mi soggy when you get it home (no place to sit and eat). Whilst the line is long (lots of Grab drivers), it goes fairly quick and worth the wait. Definitely have an appetite when you come here. I wanted to come back but ran out of time!More

We tried many different kind of food in Vietnam and wanted to try some good Banh Mi. This place was highly recommended. We went there before the lunch rush and didn’t have to wait too long. We were even lucky enough to find a table...inside instead of packaging to go. We ordered 1 to share after seeing the meat. We were so glad we did that. I couldn’t have 1 more bite after the first one. My husband reluctantly finished his half. We felt like the meat was in very poor quality. The bread was brought in from other place and it was great.More

I like many others joined the queue having seen this place advertised on trip adviser This was the worst possible version of a Banh mi we have ever eaten. The only positive part was the bread role., the rest rubbish. For an outstanding Banh Mi..., myfirst ever, was in Hoi An; likewise a far bigger queue having been recommended on tripadviser. This place in Saigon had 4 men making them up, only question you want chicken.More

the first time i came here was year 2017 .the second time was last year when i had a 9 days trip to HCM. on 29 Nov night,i came here again to have this famous and best banh mi in HCM. i noticed something new...here, this time they have dining place. i remembered last time you can only take-away. this time, i ordered banh mi special (dac biet) again, just like before, and also nuoc mia (sugarcane drinks). banh mi is very special and superb delicious, they will give you a pack of veggies, you can put them into banh mi, so your banh mi not only meat inside, you can have veggies too. i think banh mi here is a balanced diet. drinks is good also, perfect match with banh mi. the dining place not big, but that night not very crowded, so lucky. if you want to try delicious and big portion banh mi, then Huynh Hoa is highly recommended!More

Definitely the busiest BM shop in HCM. However, IMO it’s far from the best. The queue is horrendous for most of the day, but as soon as you see the ‘mass production’ effort going on inside you’ll start to have second thoughts (I did, anyway)....The meat seemed mass produced and the salad/cucumber comes in a separate bag to save labour time. Made with zero love, and tastes that way too! Too popular for its own good - try somewhere more authentic!More

In australia many banh mi do not have pickled daikon- at best 2-3 slivers- here you get a plastic bag of pickled condiments to add to a very generous baguette. They only serve the cold pork class roll- but when it’s this good- choice is...unnecessaryMore
