After seeing this restaurant on somebody feed Phil, I was excited to bring my friends to this place. I’d really hyped it up and after a long day sight seeing, we were ravenous. We didn’t book and arrived at 8:30, but according to google they...are open till 11pm. Myself and one of my friends arrived a little before the others to a quiet restaurant with no atmosphere but a few customers were eating big bowls of noodles, which did look delicious. However, there was not a member of staff in sight. Eventually someone got up from behind the stairs and came over to us. I asked if they were open and they shouted something up the stairs to another member of staff and all the customers laughed, presuming this could’ve been something rude. After working in hospitality myself, I appreciate that shifts are long and it’s hard work but customers shouldn’t be made to feel unwelcome. We called off the rest of our group and had a delicious meal at Baozi instead.More

The Bun Thai is a delicious combination of shrimp, beef, scallops, and clams, along with vegetable. It sits in a tasty sweet fruit sauce with chili. A mint and basil sauce is available on the side for dipping. Sweet and spicy varieties of tastes. So...tasty!More

We saw Nikki Tran featured on Somebody Feed Phil, Netflix’s Street Food and Ugly Delicious. So, we made it a point to visit her restaurant while we were there. We arrived just before 6 pm so, it wasn’t busy yet but, it filled up quickly...shortly after. We ordered the Happy Salad, Crab and Shrimp in the Vietnamese Cajun sauce and some pork ribs. Everything tasted great. The salad was light and refreshing. The crab and shrimp were delicious. So much flavor! They also served this with fresh baguettes that were great for dipping into that sauce! Pork ribs were also good. Everything was paired perfectly with ice cold beers! Very happy with our meal. One of the best during our stay in Saigon. Servers were also very nice and welcoming. Nikki Tran even came out to greet us herself before we left. She was super nice and down to earth. Overall great experience. Thank you!More

Visited this place as we have seen it in the documentary, also it is rated pretty good on Tripadvisor. I think this place does not deserve such a good reviews. The prices are too high for food you get as food is I would say...below average. We had much more better food for much less prices. We have ordered 2 dishes from chef’s specialties section. First dish, prawns in butter garlic sauce - in my opinion I think it should be noted if prawns are actually RIVER prawns and are sweet but not sea prawns. Garlic butter sauce was much more below average and was not delicious at all. Second dish was crab which was nothing more but ok. Service was good. Definitely TOO EXPENSIVE FOR WHAT YOU GET!More

The pace was dirty. Tables and chairs sticky and dusty. We waited a long time for our food even though we were the only people in. We ordered 2 noodle dishes. Very, very average. Chewy beef. Fairly bland sauce. Noodles over-cooked. Plenty of better places...in HCMC.More

Very tasty food. Nice mix of flavours. But you pay a lot of money for this,on top of it... They bring you some banh mi with your saucy order and forget to mention that you will be charged for it. They bring you some napkins...and forget to tell you that you will be charged for it. They don’t offer you the traditional welcome drink you can get in every restaurant of Saigon.More

Ok, like pretty much most of the other reviewers we saw this place on Ugly delicious so were keen to try this spot. First the good. Happy salad was great the sauce in which the prawns were served ,great. That's were it ends. The issue...here is this is Vietnam where street food is king. We had a meal on snail street for a quarter or the price that blew this place outta the water. We had planned to order more to taste more. (figured small portions are the way to go) Upon reading the chefs specials we decided to order the prawns (100g size option that were clearly referenced on menu)we tried to order and the waiter said there was a 300g minimum . Same deal with the squid. Prawns definitely not as fresh as they could have been (definitely not top quality as Nicky referenced in a Vietnamese (English sub title) documentary about the restaurant). Sadly as I sit here typing this, last night's meal is running right through me (if you get what I mean). We have been here 9 days and eaten street food every day kind of a sad end to the our stay here. Probably would not come back to this place again with the vast array of other amazing options here. Sad as was excited about coming here too.More

This is a good place to be if you dont mind the heat or getting your hands dirty. The food is awesome! We ordered seafood salad, seafood in cajun sauce, oysters with salted eggs, oysters with onions, fruit salad, crabs with special sauce, 2 grilled...fish and fried rice with shrimp eggs. We wanted to order more but the waiter stopped us! And luckily he did. Bse the portions above are enough for 8 of us. Every dish is delicious. Service was fast, maybe because they are not that busy on a Wed night. Including drinks, our bill came to about U$170.More

We also went here after watching the TV show.. Phil. Happy salad!!! OMG amazing. And the prawns. I could not stop eating with my hands!!!! I'm a firm believer of being patient and calm in countries where English is a struggle.. We got there in...the end. You could not wipe the smile off our faces!!!! Love love love!!!!!!!!More

If you are looking for a street food restaurant in Vietnam it's a great place for that experience. It isn't the cleanest or most hygienic from the looks at least, but that's how street food experience is in Vietnam! But it's is great. We went...there twice, met Nikki, she was great and had some great food and lot's of beers (the price of the beer probably one of the cheapest in any restaurants in Vietnam so that's a plus). For the price we paid we were very happy. One of the two nights they were super busy so we had to wave to get the attention but it's not a complaint, everything we tried from the menu was great, only the steak was a bit chewy, however would definitely go back if there!More
