My wife and I spent 2 nights in saigon as our introduction to Vietnam and on both evenings ate at this restaurant. The staff could not have been more helpful in giving us tips about what to eat and how. The food was really good.... it was not busy when we were there - I think we ate later than most so not a special atmosphere but because they were not busy they ALL attended to us and conversed to make us welcomeMore

This is one of the best in the city. The decor is superb, authentic Vietnamese. The staff are very capable and professional. The food is exquisite every time. Strong recommendation for this restaurant.

My friend and I visited this restaurant on a week night. We were allowed to bring our own wine, but the staff helped us chill and serve the wine. We tried a few dishes and most tasted amazing, except for the stir-fried beef which was...quite tough. Overall a great place for dinner. Thank you team for your attentive service!More

I'm really into loving this Vietnamese restaurant, it seems easily to find a local restaurant in HCMC, but I mostly choose Quan Bui when it comes to lunch or dinner with friends. I highly appriciated the friendly staffs and well trained, the foods are amazing,...I was satisfied every time I came here. Great job👍More

Five is a rating that should not be given lightly. Many do, I do not. The salad I ate is the best I have had in my life. The prawns were great, but they were not what made this meal incredible. That accolade was earned...by the dressing. Simply put, it was perfect in every way. Finely balanced, flavourful, piquant but not domineering and just the faintest blush of sweetness. It was enjoyed with the freshest lotus, carrot and mint, with peanuts and a few other ingredients that eluded my detection. I do not believe in capital punishment but had I the misfortunes be on death row, this would be my chosen meal. The decor is pleasant and the waitstaff delightful, but had this meal been served in a novel by misanthropes it would still have been the best salad of my life. Having said that, Tan is utterly delightful and I strongly recommend taking his advice.More

We got a recommendation to go here from locals. It was good. Just the violet soup not. Awesome drink Vietnam soul. For two people and three dishes, water, beer and cocktail we paid about 30€

Not situated in the best location, a pathless side street with building work nearby and a motorbike park opposite. Despite that Quan Bui (Original) does produce excellent Vietnamese food and at a good price. The staff or friendly and helpful. Well worth a visit, despite...its location.More

Solid food with solid service. I wouldn’t say anything we ate was spectacular but everything was good and it’s a nice quiet and clean place to have a meal. Off the beaten path unless you are staying at Le Meridian Hotel which is right around...the corner. I would definitely recommend a meal here for large groups as well as there are a lot of menu options.More

A wide selection of traditional Vietnamese dishes, many given a modern twist. The sweet sour soups are excellent as was the mango salad with squid. One word of advice the mixed starter plate is delicious, but a bit too big for me one 😉

I used to eat there occasionally until I got the worst food poisoning I ever experienced. I'm 23 and I took out my parent there visiting me especially to avoid street food and potentially food issue. 1 or 2 hours after finishing dinner I started...to lose my leg, got very cold and vomiting. I couldn't eat for maybe 3/4 days. I lost 9kg and I'm already skinny, I couldn't move from my bed for at least 5 days, I'm atletic and do a lot of sport but it took a good 3/4 months to recover completely from this. I think It would have been very hard to experience this being older! Leaving here, I experienced many food poisoning but this one was a tough one! For a restaurant of this reputation and price, this is simply not acceptable.More
