I'm sitting in the city of Hue as I write. I've had 3 bowls of Bun Bo at well regarded places. However, all I can think about is how inadequate they are compared to depth of the soup at Dong Ba Hue in Saigon. I'll definitely come back next time I'm in Saigon. Not sure what other reviewers ate, but... More

I visited this restaurant as part of a food tour. The food here is excellent, Bun Bo Hue is a beef and vermicelli soup with accompaniments. What makes it special is the lovely broth the ingredients of which are closely guarded ! Its an ordinary looking place but the food here is outstanding !!

The Bun Bo Hue here is good, but you will be surprised if you ate the orange oil version somewhere before. The soup here is clear, less oil. I was told because they adjusted to match with the taste of the South Vietnamese (i guess). Still good, price is ok for the location in District 1. This place does not... More

We were taken to this restaurant as a stop on a foodie tour with XO tours. Amazing beef broth soup that comes from Hue. Very authentic, only locals there, and no English menu. Easy to point and order though and prices were very cheap!

Was charged for items not ordered. Food is alright but a bit overpriced for what it is. Staff were unhelpful and rude.

It was definitely authentically local. There were no tourists, and no signs or menus that were English friendly. They only serve 2 things and both come small, medium or large. The Bun bo hue (beef noodle soup) was 40,000 VND, and waters were 12,000 VND. This is just about $2.25 usd pp. The soup and noodles itself was yummy. I... More

Very delicious but no english menu. Near GK Central Hotel, convenience for travellers. Restaurant vintage feel like the old kopitiam, fresh ingredients.

This place is a good lunch spot after visiting the War Remembrance Museum. The typical Hue soup is very good and cheap. The menu is short and basically everyone takes the Bun Bo Hue soup. This is always good for food safety ;-)...We were very happy with this lunch and would recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a quick and local lunch... The price is a bit expensive compared to other local restaurants where you can taste the similar noodle, but when you see how much meat or other stuff in the ball and herbs on the plate, I am sure you will be convinced you make a right choice.

Description
Hue beef noodle is a commonly known and served to all Vietnamese and well-accepted through 3 regions North, Middle and South Vietnam. Our restaurant has been in business for more than 20 years and was passed on from my grandmother who was an original Hue-ian coming to Saigon and bringing the dish to the city in the early ages. We are proud to be the restaurant that has been serving different generations of Vietnamese and currently, foreigners too!
