We had a gourd dinner here the last night of our trip. The bar was hot since it was outside. The lights in the trees were pretty. Fortunately, we had a room with air-conditioning for dinner as it was too hot to eat outside. The...food was good, and the service was fine. It was a little slow since we had a number of courses.More

Our valentine dinner.. Made one request: be to be seated in the garden, which was full (acceptable). Got a corner table (Ok, made a reservation 2 weeks ago.. not okey) First of all the service was terrible! It took us 10 minuets to order Drinks...and an extra 10 to get them. And food wise... to start with one of us is vegetarian which I think is no biggie when you go out for a dinner. There is ALWAYS something even if it’s a small something for a vegetarian. (They offered a side salad) anyway after looking at the menu when we realised that there is nothing for her to eat I had to catch the waiter in the hall.. (20min) They offered her fried rice with mushrooms and pees.. my steak was dry and boring.. It took us 1.5 hours to get our food.. table next door had an entire set menu mean while... Then it took 10 minute to get the Check... 2 000 000 dong for a steak a bole of rice and 3 glasses of wine and 1 beer.. My recommendation is to stay away!More

We dined upstairs with a group from Viking but there were several eating areas to choose from including outdoors by a water feature. In spite of our number, the food was served together, well-cooked and presented beautifully. Vegetarians in the group were well catered for....(Good pun!) The staff were friendly and welcoming and spoke excellent English. Good disabled access to the ground floor.More

Our welcome dinner for an Avalon Waterways Mekong River cruise was at the Ly. A dining room on the main floor of the old manor converted to restaurant was reserved for us. A pianist was playing a baby grand adjacent to the room. Seating for...18 of us was nicely configured. Dinner included two free drinks- beer, wine or soft drinks - an extra glass of wine cost $180,000 Dong including 5% service charge & 10% tax. Dinner (fixed menu) started with a tuna on cracker amuse-bouche followed by a salad, then pho. The main course was pork tenderloin with rice and spinach. Dessert was a rice pudding followed by coffee or tea if desired. Quantity was ample, presentation well done, and the flavours nice. Service was friendly and professional. Ly was a good choice for a tour group dinner.More

We had a group dinner here and the food was fantastic. Service was excellent and the surroundings beautiful with all the lights on the trees. They also had a piano player who was very good.

It was an excellent meal, especially in the context of HCMC and Vietnam. We did the 10-course tasting menu. Many of the dishes were superb, a few were just good. The variety was fantastic. I got the Western tasting menu while my wife got the...Vietnamese. The lobster course was the best, the sea bass (with ketchup?) was the least best. In the context of a world-class fine dining experience, it wasn't quite there, but still a 5-star Trip Advisor review.More

It's not the best place to find authentic pure Vietnamese cuisine, but I still highly recommend it for the Vietnamese-French twist the food has, nice ambience, and impeccable service :) Some staff members speak decent English but on the whole it can still be improved....Overall a great experience, recommended if you want to have a nice, (relatively more) posh dinnerMore

The setting of the Ly Club is beautiful - a colonial house, very tastefully decorated and with both indoor and outdoor seating. The staff are professional and very, very friendly, and certainly make a difference. The menu offers something for everyone - local, western, vegetarian...and everything is plated up to please the palate as much as the eye. We chose a variety of startes to share, all vietnamese flavours and they were all great. Fish balls, beef on rice crackers and also a pork/beef salad spooned into lettuce cups. I chose a mushroom risotto for my main and it was superb. I didn't try the other dishes on the table except for a 'french fry' from one of my friends who had chosen the beef knuckle and it was perfection. I would definitely go back - it was a wonderful night out and would serve for a business dinner as well as a nice evening among friends.More

We went there as part of a tour group and enjoyed our evening. The food was not exceptional but was good, especially the large tiger prawns. Those were really good.
