SO glad Crystal Jade Palace is open again, and with the same awesome menu and experience as before. They make you feel welcome and really loom after you (they seem to have the ability to predict when my cup of tea will be empty, as sip... here's a refill!)
Highly recommend the fried rice noodles in XO sauce, the shrimp dumplings, the rice in lotus leaf... and everything is great.
Please note I'm reviewing the Crystal Jade Palace in the Lotte Legend Saigon Hotel. I cant confirm regarding other branches in HCMC or elsewhere.

The food is delicious, seasoned with authentic Cantonese flavors. The waitresses are funny and can speak Chinese. My mother is originally from Quang, not fluent in Vietnamese. When she came here, the girls chatted like family, so she was very happy. Roasted pigeon dish is worth trying. Succulent meat and crispy skin, my 2 children loved it.

Fabulous dim sum lunch.
Incredible dinner with Peking duck, impeccable service for cutting the skin then for the rolled pancakes.
Two real feasts!
Unbeatable value for money!

All the people working there were extremely unfriendly. They were unfriendly from the moment I first entered the restaurant. Even though all the seats were empty, they only told me to sit in the corner at the entrance to the restaurant and their responses were extremely unfriendly. The taste isn't that good and I don't want to go there again. I don't understand why people who can't speak English and have no service mindset training are working in expensive restaurants.

Servers said too much and they talk too peers ( no subject ). When the waitress came to our table to order, i asked her about restaurant’s signature but she did not know it and asked me back “ what is restaurant’s signature” ... is it 5star-hotel like this ???. Duck is too salty...🙏🏻

Crystal Jade hardly needs me to recommend them - as anyone finding it hard to book a table on weekends can confirm!
But credit must be given where due, so here we go
1. Crystal Jade at Lotte Legend has the best Dim Sum in the world. Better than the Michelin-starred places in HK and Singapore.
2: The longstanding Maitre D', Du Du, is the best Maitre D' in the world. Her blend of engaging warmth with her customers and staff combined with the swiss-watch level efficiency needed to keep demanding dim sum customers well fed and happy... hats off!
3: Best fried noodles with XO sauce in the world
4: Best Shanghai dumplings in the world
5: Best shrimp dumplings in the world
6: Great selection of tea
7: Great service
Now Crystal Jade probably doesnt want to position themselves as dim sum only, so fair enough, if youre going for dinner I'd expect the quality to be the same. I honestly have only gone at lunch.
One other point - I am referring only to the Crystal Jade at Lotte Legend Hotel. I have no idea how / why, but the Crystal Jade I tried at other locations (ie Saigon Centre) was quite different. Not just quality, but the whole thing: was like they were using a different cookbook.

Traditional Chinese food, amazing menu, friendly staff and massive fresh menu, only issue here is that you MUST book, otherwise you will be very disappointed. Never miss the place out on a visit to Saigon

My wife and I went to Crystal Jade Palace on Sat. Night April 20 2019. This is the first time and also the last time for us
Our food came so late and service was so bad
We order softshell crab and the order served after order of main coure.We order fried rice on lotus but the waitress said it would take more than halt hrs to make so we decice to order simple fried rice and it take 1.5 hrs before served on the table
The whole time we sit and just waiting for the food to be served
We was so dissapoint with service of the restaurant had been in high level grade
We would not recomment to our friend

If you, as I do, regularly have a longing for some proper dim sum, this restaurant will be your new favorite. No, they don’t push steam carts around the room for you to pick your items, but who does that anymore? This dim sum is delicious. Every single item we ordered was spot on. The staff speak English, and Chinese and, obviously, Vietnamese, so there should be no problem ordering. So, so good and I thought the price was reasonable for the quality, great service and cleanliness. We went for dinner once too and it was also very good.

Presume this is branch of the Crystal Jade Group ( now part of LVMH )? Anyway my customer insist I do the ordering and there is nothing wrong with cooking but rather high price for so so cooking. There are better Chinese in HCMC....

Well, craving for Chinese after two days & walk into this Restaurant for a simple hor fun & soup that used to eat in SG. Ordered a beef Hor fun, a seasonal veg & a clear veg soup. The soup taste superb & as expected. However, the other two dishes do not give a wow feeling because do not have a “wok chi” that used to have in Cantonese cooking. As for the service is averagely.

We came in as a group of 10 for dinner on Aug 22, 2018. The server came out 15 min after we placed our order to tell us that our chicken dish would take 25 min to make. We told them it was fine. Our first course of the Peking duck came and we never saw the second course. No other food came out and we’ve been waiting for 40 min. There were several servers standing around laughing and goofing off. We had to ask for where our
food was. They then went into the kitchen to check. After 5 min they proceeded to tell us it’ll be a while longer. After sitting for an hour, we had exactly two items and their excuse was that the kitchen was slow. We had two kids that were starving at this point so we told them to cancel the rest of our food. They then charged us for wet naps that we never used and charged us a service fee on top of it. For a restaurant that’s high end, the service was laughable. The manager finally came out after we made a scene. There are so many incredible places to eat in this city and Crystal Palace is DEFINITELY not one of them.
