A French Chef Thierry Mounon and his wife Tina are welcoming you in that elegant colonial style Villa. In Saigon's District 2, enjoy traditional or not so traditional French cuisine straight from Provence. This is a reminder that classic French cooking is eternal. A small menu, simple ingredients, and a chef that intuitively knows how to bring all the flavours together into delectable dishes for your palate.
Service is friendly, and personal from the Chef's wife who runs the front of house with a clear sense of pride. The timing can be a little delayed between courses, but this is a small inconvenience.
Where this restaurant lets itself down is in the decor, and therefore the vibe. Whilst we love timeless cooking, we dont need the dining room to be a throwback to 1981 as well.
The chairs are old, the carpet is thick like your Grandma's, and while Chef Thierry will know the difference between lentils and lupins, I am quite sure he has never looked inside an interior design magazine.
So, wonderful food, with service from the heart, but prepare to be uninspired by the bright lights and old-school dated surroundings.

We came on Jun 28 for lunch. There are a few sets from 930k vnd to 3250k vnd, and we chose two 2650k vnd set.
The menu had both land and sea dishes. We had duck confit raviole (ok), seafood plate which included king crab, scallop and oscietre kaviari caviar saffron remoulade (good) then lobster and wagyu beef M6 (very good) for main courses.
After that was cheese which i thought it should come at the beginning.
Final course was dessert (ice cream and fruit)
Everything were ok to very good but very pricy.
If you wanted to try or go out for some special events, i highly recommend.
This is one of the best fine dining in Saigon.

It was our first time and what a find. Ok it is not the cheapest restaurant in HCM but we did pick the more expensive option.
The food was outstanding and as good or better than many high-end restaurants I have eaten in.
It was a genuine French dining experience with EVERY dish outstanding in its presentation and flavor. Some of the nicest dishes I have ever had.
Bit embarrassing when the Australian Steak from my home state was better than most I have had in my life (and I am not young).
The service was also outstanding in every way. Attentive staff who catered for our every need without being overbearing or intrusive.
We will be going back for those special occasions.

Almost like entering a time machine to sit in the garden at this French colonial villa in district 2 of Saigon.
Service from wait staff and sommelier was fantastic. We did two separate prefixed menus, so we got a look of food to taste.
As someone traveling from Sweden, this was incredible value for the price. recommend to anyone visiting Saigon looking for Michelin grade dining experience.

It’s ever a pleasure to dine in la Villa restaurant, this is the place to be right now! Finest French cuisine. Refined dishes, excellent service, I highly recommend.
The original Chef Thierry dishes make us an exceptional food experience .

This is an amazing dining experience. The location is a quiet street in district 2. The restaurant was previously a villa , hence the name. It is the epitome of fine dining. Exactly as you would expect, fresh white table cloths, sparkling cutlery and glasses.
The staff are very friendly, attentive and helpful. But the reason to come here is the food. A taste of heaven in every morsel. On the evening we were there, there was a choice of 3 set menus or a la carte. We opted for one of the set menus which comprised several courses. There is an option to also add a wine pairing with each course. My wife doesn't drink so we did not try this.
The food is simply amazing ! Beautifully presented and every mouthful is absolutely delicious. I have had the opportunity to eat in several gourmet restaurants in different parts of the world, La Villa is far and away the most delicious food I have ever eaten.
Yes, it is a little more expensive than a typical restaurant but the entire experience of location, service, the food and meeting the chef at the end of the meal is more than worth the cost. If you are looking for the ultimate dining experience then you owe it to yourself to try this place. You will not be disappointed.

My partner took me here for dinner before flying back to DaNang.
The atmosphere was wonderful with superb service. We ordered two sets and they allowed us to switch the main and dessert so we could try more things.
My only disappointment was the duck confit, it wasn’t as tender as I expected it, it was on the dry side. We actually found the snacks/hor d’oeuvres that came before the set course more memorable than some of the main courses itself. Having said that, the steak was fantastically done, my partner loved his meat medium rare but with no blood oozing out, and it was just that. He was highly impressed. The bread selection was commendable too. There was also a complimentary dessert platter after our desserts too. Lots of food served!

As soon as you walk into the restaurant the tone is set for a terrific evening. The ambience tells you that you are in for a special dinner. The service is top notch; the food was great; and, they accommodated our preference to avoid beef. We ordered the wine pairing with our dinner, and each course was accompanied by the perfect wine selection. After 3 hours, yes the dinner lasts that long, the chef came out to introduce himself and inquire about our meal. If you are looking for a splurge, this is the restaurant to dine in.

Have heard a lot about this restaurant and his chef/owner Thierry. Have to say that the experience was beyond expectations. The whole atmosphere was taken care of to the minimum details, the staff excellent, friendly and skilled. As for the food, few places in Vietnam can beat it, if any. Oysters are a must. For main course we choose a mouthwatering tenderloin, with an exquisite blend of flavors including a non invasive foie grass. We skipped dessert, and went straight to coffee, which came with a variety of indulgent petit fours and a exclusive tea from the house, that completed a incredible dinner. Wide range of excellent wines, mainly French.

The environment of the restaurant is very classy French decorative. The service was good; waitresses are very aware of guest’s need and willing to satisfy you in any requests. The chef also came out to each table for a little introduction and it was also nice to know the chef.
Although the food was good but missing wow factor which I believe needed a step up to get it first star.
In deed the chef was very generous with food portion. Caviar / Foie gras especially.

Food quality is stunning. Definitely a must go considering the price, service, vibe. Customers can focus on the food and truly enjoy it. We selected one of the set menu courses (akin to taster... Portion is smaller)... Tummy still full by the time you exit.

We did not end up eating here. Maybe we missed the point. We booked a table online and after accepting our booking we then received an email demanding 2000000dong as a reservation guarantee or our reservation would be cancelled. As a restaurant that we are not familiar with, we found ourselves uncomfortable with such an unusual request and accepted the decision of the restaurant to cancel our booking and we ate elsewhere, celebrating our 39th Wedding anniversary.
