If i could give more than 5 stars, I would. It was our third visit and we love this restaurant and the “bible” of a menu which keeps getting bigger. Thank you for printing in English. Food is wonderful with lots of things not normally...seen on menus, staff are very attentive and the decorations in the restaurant start interesting conversations- particularly when you have oldies like us who can explain old things to the younger generation!!!! One small issue- please remove cracked crockery. We will return on our next visit later this year. Thank you to the chefs and staffMore

Overrated and over priced for traditional Vietnamese food. Decorations is nice, gave an old feel to it, and some of the decorations there reminded me of Vietnam in the old days. Food is mediocre at best. How this place is a Michelin star is beyond...me. Sure there were maybe 1 or 2 dish that was good but not Michelin quality good. Will not be coming back and will not be recommending to anyone.More

We went to Cuc Gach Quan on our first night in Ho Chi Minh City. Really enjoyed the food. A lot of vegetarian options. Really beautiful building with unique and authentic interiors. Excellent service!

The restaurant is actually located on both sides of the street. One side is better than the other. It is also a very steep walk. Meaning access within the restaurant itself can be precarious. Everyone was kind. The food was very good but I found...the service to be less than welcoming.More

After walking through a beautiful restaurant you sit down and are faced with a leather bound tome of a menu. A lovely foreward written by the owner (?) ends up saying if you're overwhelmed by the length of the menu, the server would be happy...to guide you, and we took some of their suggestions. I'm a retired chef and an omnivore, though I love vegetables, and while this definitely isn't a vegetarian restaurant there were enough vegetables on the menu to delight anyone. Among other things we were delighted by a vegetable for which there is no English translation; also the crispy rice pancake, the tofu with cured egg yolk, and perhaps most of all the dragon beans. But based on 2 nights of dining there I think you couldn't go wrong with anything. I'd definitely go back. And back. And back.More

I' ve just had dinner last night at Cuc Gach. Crab Spring Rolls: The shell is crispy, and the filling is fragrant with crab meat, mushrooms, and glass noodles. Must try this!!! Chicken Salad with Ambarella Leaves: The chicken is fresh and sweet, complemented by...the light sourness of ambarella leaves, making it very palatable. Crispy Catfish with Green Mango: The catfish is crispy, enhanced by a sweet and sour sauce and green mango. The sauce deserves a 10/10. Braised Pork with Eggs: The pork is tender and flavorful. Sour Soup with Snakehead Fish: The broth is clear and delicious, flavored with dill and tomatoes. Egg Fried Rice: The rice grains are firm yet soft and tasty. Unfortunately, we were too full to order more. The restaurant's interior is truly unique, reminiscent of a bygone era. The staff are extremely polite and professional. Over a million VND for two people, the price is very reasonable. If you want to experience authentic Vietnamese cuisine, this is the place to go.More

This was one of the highlights of the last two weeks in Vietnam. First, decor and interior is wonderful - beautiful with so many plants and greenery, lighting works and there is good space between tables. Service is professional and fast. But the food is...simply outstanding. Even the more simple things - I had squid in tamarind sauce which was relatively inexpensive and was one of the best dishes I've had on this trip. Same for the banana blossom and chicken salad. As for the menu, yes, it is a bit overwhelming and many dishes are strangely not translated into English. But the problem is more that there are so many good sounding dishes that it takes time to choose. And there are tons of dishes I have not seen anywhere else which is interesting and allows you to try new things. This is a great place.More

A totally amazing experience, including food, drinks and location. We had a five hour lay over in Ho Chi Minh City and decided to hop a GRAB ride for 90 Dong to this establishment. All I have to say is "Wow!" The architecture is like...walking through a magical secret garden spilling over with flowering hanging plants. There are three levels of dining areas including the open top floor seating. My favorite. We started our meal with two Gin/Tonics, served with a hollow flower stem as a straw. What a novel and environmentally friendly idea. Then we shared the Lemongrass fried tofu, the Sautéed Pumpkin Flowers and the Squid and Ginger Soup. All of these I would order again anytime. We followed this with a Fried Seabass with Green Mango Salad, and finished our meal with seasonal fruit. The great thing about this restaurant is that they are heavy on the local vegetables and there's a wide variety of these. The spices and the flavors in all of the dishes we had were unique to the dish, very aromatic and full of depth. The staff was super attentive; our server's name was Men. He spoke English well and took great care of us during our meal. Of course I have to mention the sexy, super clean bathroom. They provide individual hand towels at the sink. How great is that? Dining here made for a wonderful, calm, tasty last meal in Vietnam. We will DEFINITELY come back when in town.More

There’s nothing wrong with the restaurant as such. The menu is huge with everything listed as ingredients rather than dishes making it difficult for most westerners to choose. Service is efficient and friendly. Price wise it’s probably aimed at business people or tourists in an...informal setting. Expect to pay circa 850000 Dong for a couple of main courses and drinks.More

The restaurant is in a villa/small mansion with a pond inside and several stories. The place is elegantly decorated and the staff are also very friendly. There are many dishes offered by the restaurant. The dished are more like Chinese cuisines and tasty.
