Amazing place, even more amazing food! Must-visit when you are in Saigon! The branch at District 2 is recommended.

Beautiful atmosphere and great service. We sat outside to enjoy the surroundings, very peaceful. Food was delicious and fairly priced. All vegetarian and so much to choose from.

Chay Garden serves only vegetarian food, and it's expertly prepared - from the fried taro bowl with veggies to the pineapple fried rice, the food here is amazing! Don't miss the tofu. The green curry was delicious as well. Service is exceptional - if you...drop a chopstick, or need more bread, the staff will bring it to you before you're even able to ask.More

It was great to find a veggie restaurant in Ho Chi Minh. The environment is so lovely, with pretty lighting and relaxing music. The staff are super friendly and provided a really good and fast service. The food was really nicely presented, but really disappointing...in flavour and substance. It is likely we just chose some unfortunate dishes, as the place was full of people who seemed to be really enjoying their food! The menu cost is probably on the higher end, we ordered two mains and one starter dish with two soft drinks and it was aprox £24.More

I chose four things off the menu. Two of them were great, one wasn't prepared well, and the other was lackluster. It's a bit pricey,but has a nice garden setting. I probably wouldn't go back again.

What a treat! It was my first night in Ho Chi Minh, and I stumbled upon Chay Garden restaurant. The atmosphere is peaceful and green, while the staff is warm and inviting. The food is absolutely delicious. Perfectly balanced vegetarian and vegan dishes with fresh...herbs and veggies. I highly recommend the Green herbal salted tofu dish, and it’s out of this world! I just left, but I’m already planning my next trip back for more!More

The setting is lovely but that’s where the positives stopped for me. The service was unfortunately lacking and the food was average at best. I ordered 3 dishes that I was hoping to eat together but the last dish had not come out over 30...minutes after my other food came out. When I finally got the attention of wait staff to ask about my last dish, they looked at each other and giggled. I asked if I could cancel the last dish because I had to leave, and they ran off. Then a more senior staff member came out with a plate of food, saying this dish takes extra long to prepare…and literally showed me a plate of steamed vegetables with a small bowl of sauce. If your staff forgot to put in an order, just tell me - mistakes happen, I get it, but weird lie to tell. The flavor of the other dishes I had was a bit bland, and my oolong tea had a noticeable artificial flavor (maybe lemongrass flavoring?). Hope your experience is better than mine!More

Wow. We stumbled across this on our last day in Saigon, having been turned away from another around the corner (they were full). Tucked down an alley, you enter a lusciously green, covered courtyard with adjoining rooms. All the staff were very friendly and helpful,...and service was very quick despite a busy lunchtime. The food was out of this world. The three of us got a few dishes to share (chestnut rice, noodles, curry, tofu) and were all blown away (even the non veggies!). A must for those visiting the city!More

10 marks, 10 marks, the atmosphere at Chay Garden is very nice, waiters and supervisors are so friendly, enthusiastic and professional. They describe the menu so detailed to help customers can choose the foods and drinks that are match for customers' tastes. The price is...suitable, not expensive. In conclusion, the experience at Chay Garden is interesting, amazing and I am sure that I will go there once again in the coming time.More

This place used to be really good. I hope they can figure it out and bring the quality back up to where it used to be. Food is good but poor service and “mistakes” are very common.More
