Wonderful place, not crowded and not caothic, as you have to walk down an alley to reach it. very good menu with sooo many veg dishes. aldo the drinks are delicious. we had 2 dishes each and it was definitly too much as everything is "sharing size"

This restaurant offers an extensive menu with a well-curated mix of Vietnamese and global dishes, perfect for vegetarians looking for variety. The food was delicious—one of the best meals we had in Vietnam for strict vegetarians—and the drinks complemented the meal nicely. The staff was incredibly polite and attentive, ensuring our dietary requirements were met.
A few things to note: For Indian vegetarians, it might be surprising to see some items contain egg, as "vegetarian" here doesn’t exclude it. Additionally, some items with eggs aren't clearly marked on the menu, such as noodles, so it’s best to confirm with the staff, especially if you have allergies. Portion sizes can also be inconsistent; for example, my salad was very large, but the rice portion was quite small, so asking for guidance can help avoid over-ordering.
Overall, it was a great experience, and I’d recommend it to fellow Indians visiting Ho Chi Minh City!

Chay Garden serves only vegetarian food, and it's expertly prepared - from the fried taro bowl with veggies to the pineapple fried rice, the food here is amazing! Don't miss the tofu. The green curry was delicious as well. Service is exceptional - if you drop a chopstick, or need more bread, the staff will bring it to you before you're even able to ask.

We were dining in on Aug 11, sitting at the corner table outdoor. The staff who was taking our order was unpleasant to answer our few questions about the food, showing she didn’t want to explain anything further than the menu says or she just didn’t want to waste her time on taking orders. Bad service attitude. We placed an order of 3 simple dishes and did not get our 2nd and 3rd dishes, then we had to repeatedly asked to be served. The pad Thai which was lastly served an hour later after was too much salty and greasy. The other food was nothing outstanding. The restaurant only has one restroom for each gender so if you were there during their busy hours then you need to hold off your pee otherwise you have to fail yourself. Not recommended at all. There are other vegan choices which are much better in town. Don’t waste your time here.

On first sight, this seems like a lovely place to go for lunch/dinner. We were seated quickly and handed menus. Ordered our food and drinks and waited.
Unfortunately, this place seems to have a recurrent theme of waiting. The food took an unacceptable amount of time to arrive, despite there only being a couple of other tables occupied.
Our drinks were sat on the side of the bar and not served to us, for at least 10 minutes after our food arrived, causing the juices to separate.
After we finished our food, we wanted to order dessert. But after waiting 25 minutes for staff to collect our plates and take our dessert order, we gave up. We had to go to the bar and request the bill to leave.
What added insult was the compulsory service charge that was added, despite no service being provided. This place was literally empty, but had at least 6 servers sat chatting.
This is a real shame, as the food is actually very very good. One of the best meals we’ve had in Vietnam. But this place really lets itself down.
Overall, I was disappointed.

The setting is lovely but that’s where the positives stopped for me. The service was unfortunately lacking and the food was average at best. I ordered 3 dishes that I was hoping to eat together but the last dish had not come out over 30 minutes after my other food came out. When I finally got the attention of wait staff to ask about my last dish, they looked at each other and giggled. I asked if I could cancel the last dish because I had to leave, and they ran off. Then a more senior staff member came out with a plate of food, saying this dish takes extra long to prepare…and literally showed me a plate of steamed vegetables with a small bowl of sauce. If your staff forgot to put in an order, just tell me - mistakes happen, I get it, but weird lie to tell.
The flavor of the other dishes I had was a bit bland, and my oolong tea had a noticeable artificial flavor (maybe lemongrass flavoring?).
Hope your experience is better than mine!

It was great to find a veggie restaurant in Ho Chi Minh. The environment is so lovely, with pretty lighting and relaxing music. The staff are super friendly and provided a really good and fast service.
The food was really nicely presented, but really disappointing in flavour and substance. It is likely we just chose some unfortunate dishes, as the place was full of people who seemed to be really enjoying their food! The menu cost is probably on the higher end, we ordered two mains and one starter dish with two soft drinks and it was aprox £24.

When we first came to this restaurant, we were amazed by the warm welcome small board placed on the table with my name written by chalk “Welcome Ms. Thuy”. Continuously, we were attracted by their food decoration and quality taste. We ordered one vegan tom yum hot pot for 2 persons, Chay Garden signature spring rolls, and fried tofu with green chili salt, and we all loved to enjoy so much. The restaurant is totally eco-friendly and its ambience is peaceful and charming.
It’s recommended to book seats in advance during this covid-19 pandemic, so they arranged tables with distancing spaces for diners.

This is a vegetarian buffet that you can enjoy at a reasonable price. The spices weren't too strong and the food was overall clean, so I enjoyed it with my mom. And the staff serving us are very friendly and have pretty smiles. I plan to visit often during my stay in Vietnam. ^^

What makes this place different from other vegan restaurants is the atmosphere of Vietnamese culture, from the garden, the furniture to their staff's uniform reminds me of a peaceful countryside, which I think it is due to their location - at the end of alley. That is why I always recommend and invite my foreign friends to give it a try.
My favorite thing is absolutely their food, which is way more than I could expected about vegan food. Every new dishes of them are very creative, appetizing and the taste is wonderful. I could see they put lots of effort by looking at the apperance when they present the food.
Staffs are welcoming, friendly and polite. They introduce the menu for me and recommend some of their best signature dishes.
In my view, the price is reasonable for such an experience.

Lovely ambience in a tucked away little alley. Great vegeterian food and very friendly staff. We ordered the clay hot pot and the lovely hostess showed us what to do and how to eat it all properly. Would definitely reccomend and would gladly come again!

I am strongly recommend this restaurant for meeting with clients and family. The food is quite delicious which suites with my taste . I recommend you guys try Nha hotpot , it is extremely delicious The employees are quite friendly and so nice . Such a fantastic place! Yes, it is pricy but the food was worth every penny. I had one of the hot pots with a wealth of mushrooms, tofu, and lime. It was velvety good, spicy, and very aromatic. The setting was very tasteful and slightly romantic and flowery, with round tables, cushions on the seat, and yellow-painted walls.

But sometimes the service process being missing a little bit but it's okay. Waiting is a happiness Ambience is so great. You must say Wowww at your first look.
