We were recommended this place by locals.
It’s very easy to miss down small alley roads and inbetween bars and other street stalls.
The place has plastic tables and chairs street stall/hawker style but is super authentic and yummy.
Pricing is super cheap as you would imagine and you get heaps of noodles and a big serving of bun cha (pork in a sour broth), our kids loved it as well, definitely worth a visit.

I came to the store after seeing reviews. It has a lot of local feel and good atmosphere. And Buncher is very delicious and very satisfying. Several of them were stationed in Japan. The restaurant was very friendly and the taste and atmosphere made me want to go again.

Nice little place in Japanese town, that locals seem to enjoy as well. Owner is very friendly. Nice food with affordable prices. Yummy bun cha and crispy spring rolls~ Would definitely visit again.

Good food. Seemed to be mostly locals. Fast service. Definitely recommend. Apple Maps shows it around the corner in the alley, but it’s actually on the left of the first street you turn right on.

Tucked away in Little Tokyo, turn right into the alley just after you enter main gate, it's at the end. Absolutely best authentic traditional food in the city. We were here for a month and had brunch and dinner countless times here. Fresh, tasty, CHEAP, and super fast, friendly service. An amazing restaurant for real Vietnamese food. Please come

Was craving some Bun Cha from the north and was happy with the bun cha in this shop. Meat had that BBQ grill taste and spring roll was crispy without being hard. Shop was tucked in a little lane inside a cluster of shops off the main street.

Affordable pricing and service is fast. After sending in our orders, the food came within the next 5 minutes.
Flavourful bun cha soup base and it goes well with the crab spring rolls.

A bit hard to find since the place is down an alley. I was the only customer a bit before 5 pm. Limited menu, and be careful if you order the 2nd "set" it is the noodles without the pork, plus the spring rolls. I made that mistake and had to order the meat separately. The meet was tasty; plenty of greens. I'm never sure of what to do with the lettuce, since it just wilts, but the other greens were very tasty. With a beer, the buncha, and the fried spring rolls, it was a plenty meal. I think they have seating upstairs, but I sat in on the first floor at one of the very low tables and chairs. Some might find the seats excessively low for getting up and down.
I would recommend for a quick bite. Also there are tons of Japanese restaurants in the alley as well, if one wants to hit more than one restaurant.

we wanted to eat bun cha and came across this one. very disappointed as
1. price of bun cha is average(similar to other shops) but portion is small-they give you plenty of salad but little rice vermicelli and the pork soup. taste is below average and seemed not fresh
2. worst of all-as soon as we sat down, they brought refreshing towels(napkins) and put on our table. of course this is something that everyne would need /use after eating and no one would be expected to pay for this. there's not even ne restaurant who charges its customers for napkins but after eating there, once we got the bill, we realised that they have charged us 2000d for the napkins. not a big amount but firstly they brought this to our table without us asking. secondly thwy didn't informes us that we have to pay for it. thirdly even if we didnt use all the 6 napkins they gave us, we had to pay for all.
3. couldn't even argue or explain to them as they don't speak/understand english!
overall-we paid 40k for a buncha which was only half portion of what other shop provides + charged customers napkins?!and even without informing us! seriously who does that?!

One should really try this place when Bun Cha is the food of choice. I haven’t had a better bowl elsewhere in HCMC. Staff is busy serving the guests.
I really like the limited menu. It really points out their core business. I ordered the pork Bun Cha and it was very tasty. I had had a 7up and a passionfruit juice. Altogether the damages were 70.000 VND. So I think you could definitely say that it was an affordable dinner. Only minor complaint would be that I was told that softdrinks are 10.000 VND but on the bill it was 15.000 VND
I would definitely go again. Don’t miss out, I recommend it!
