We got 4 fish (snapper) n chips delivered which arrived piping hot in paper wrappings. They were delicious and authentic - as good as any you're likely to get back home. Lovely white fish and crispy batter and proper English chips (not forgetting the gravy and curry sauces too!). It's fair to say they were a big hit with the parents who are visitng.

After 2 weeks of delicious Vietnamese food, I really wanted some hot chips. We found Union Jacks after looking on line. I also need to eat gluten free. I emailed Matt at Union Jacks to ask if his chips were gluten free - he replied promptly and informed me they are hand cut on the premises and nothing else on them. Fantastic!! Gluten free chips. They were great - hot, chunky and salty😁😁😁
My husband also had black pudding with his chips. A sorry state of affairs that he had to travel to Vietnam for black pudding (I won't cook it at home for him 🤣🤣) but Matt also makes the black pudding in his kitchen. My husband said it was great - it must have been cause he had 3 of them🤣
Anyway, Union Jacks has all of the usual items you'd find in a UK or Aussie chippy, plus delicious extras. Plus Matt was a friendly bloke and fun to chat with.

Union Jacks offers everything you could ask for from a proper fish and chip shop and doesn't disappoint. Their fish is always fresh, perfectly flaky, and with crisp batter. I highly recommend their black pudding, which is homemade and always a highlight of my order.
Their menu offers other British comfort food, including hearty stews, homemade pies, and more.
Service is always exceptional and the staff ensure that everything runs smoothly.

We order from here at least once a month and it consistently hits the spot. Food is delivered quickly, piping hot and delicious. The new additions to the menu are always something we look forward to. I tried the faggots tonight and it reminded me of tea at my nan's on a Saturday night. With corona affecting sunmer travel plans it was the taste from home I needed today. Thanks guys!

I love love this place that everytime I’m in HCM I will have at least one meal here. The portion of fish is generous and the batter is extremely well done.
Love that they have a variety of sauce to choose from. Excellent guys!

I ordered a large fish & chips with mushy peas and was very pleased with the very professional handling of my order. The order taker called to reconfirm details and her English was very good indeed. The delivery guy was outside my building well ahead of the indicated 60 min delivery time and the food was still hot.
The fish & chips wrapped in the traditional way was excellent whereby maybe I will go for the medium size portion next time.
Everything was very well done. Congrats

Went there today and I found I couldn't even discuss the menu with my wife because the obnoxious (and BAD) live music was so loud.
Live music at 3pm? In a restaurant on a Sunday?
Finally I bought nothing and explained to the staff I was going because the music was too loud.
The staff didn't care. They laughed.
So, I've never eaten here and I never will after this experience.
Atmosphere first. A customer should feel good when entering a restaurant. The loud, unpleasant, unwelcoming atmosphere I experience today, combined with uncaring attitude from two members of staff (who both basically let a paying customer go and din't even apologise for what was happening) have ensured I will never eat at this place and will not recommend to friends.
Stay away. There's better places to eat at in Saigon.

"We were very excited about eating here" We had the Ling cod, beef stew, battered sausage, and one steak and kidney pie. All our meals were small by small I meal eight chips, a really small piece of fish, and pie. The sausage was ok but not as good as my local chippy. All in all it lacks the feel of English comfort food. The food presentation was sloppy. The service was rather slow. I can get better at my local chippy back home for less than I pay here. The sauces are too sweet. The curry sauce was definitely a NO NO totally tasteless sauce. There mushy peas was rank most disgusting mushy peas I have ever had outside england.
All in all not impressed by there fish and chips, it was the worst British food we ever had in asia.

Been to Union Jacks for dine in multiple times because it is so good, but given I am under lock down had to try the take away service...
Was slightly hesitant as was worried how the food might be after traveling but I shouldn't have worried - perfect!
Ordered and paid online, smooth ordering process and the restaurant called me to confirm exactly the order and timing.
I asked for them to bring some Sriracha sauce, sadly they didn't have any BUT were kind enough to arrange for the delivery driver picked up a bottle for us from the store on the way - what a great added value service.
Everything was packed well in paper with minimal plastic waste!
Well definitely order again

After moving to Thao Dien just before the lockdown in May 21 I didn't have an opportunity to actually eat at Union Jack's but the delivery service to the door was just great. Punctual as per request and hot!
Recently, after all the lockdown restrictions have been lifted I actually took the opportunity to go there for a late breakfast last weekend and was even more impressed by the service and of course the food. The quick breakfast with a mug of Yorkshire tea hit right on the spot!
Today I ordered steak and kidney pie with gravy for lunch and it was soooo good!

Have been looking forward to visiting here in a long time after seeing positive reviews.
We were not disappointed. Massive portion of fish and chips. The fish thickly cut and cooked to perfection. Proper fish and chippy chips. Staff lovely and friendly. If you are staying in Ho Chi Minh City make sure you try here out.

Came highly recommend. But didn't meet our expectations.
For vietnamese the price is high.
The food was badly prepared, it wasn't nice to eat.
Our plates had very little fries and fish was ok in size, but rather slim, sauces on the plate made it look more! But was very little. I can't recommend this place.

Just had a delivery from Union Jack's,got all the way to D7 from D1 , still piping hot and it was just what was needed. Delicious chipper chips and cheese and Onion pie still flaky and so good..but that gravy was the best I've tasted..Thank you Union Jack's needed this..self isolating pick me up..

Wow!! What can I say? From the moment we walked into the place, the service was phenomenal. The staircase is steep going up but you are given the most welcome greeting at the top by staff and the owner. They have the best fish and chips and a divine Shepard’s Pie. I had it and it was so amazing - filled with veg and meat and topped with with mashed potatoes.

there are times in life when it is necessary to get back to our heritage and if you have a craving for British Comfort Food, then Union Jack's is definitely the place to go. From fish & chips to bangers & mash to pork pies and even deep fried chocolate bars. But the traditional breakfast (of course with black pudding) is seriously the way to go on a day when you don't have to go to the office
