It was a weekly lunch menu Starter - Piemontese Risotto it was of wrong temperature - too hot , texture was too hard as if risotto was not cooked sufficiently hence edible , but not enjoyable; flavour-wise / quality-wise felt more like warmed up ready...to eat meal from supermarket shelve.. Main course - a slice of steamed grouper with fennel, tomato, olives - fish certainly not the freshest one; yes, ok for producing a meal, but age at kitchen storage manifested by accrued fishy flavour fats, that is a function of time. Again, edible, but certainly not enjoyable - you absolutely don't get an idea to order such fish again. Dessert (Lemon frosting / Meringa) was the only enjoyable course, by far not WOW, but at least something what you not regret when you're eating . Certainly disliked a choice of soft drinks, the barely single choice was a 0.75l bottle of Aqua Panna water for 7€, and virtually nothing for soft drinks except unhealthy canned drinks from CocaCola Inc. - that just added to discomfort and frustration. This restaurant food wise was gradually better food wise than number of other, well acclaimed French restaurants in Saigon - most of them serve food mired with kaleidoscopic set of culinary mistakes and so often ingredients are way of subpar quality, so it says that barely enjoy anything that is served in French cuisine restaurants. It could a factor that after so many years in SEA I simply don't appreciate European cuisine anymore, but as far I remember French cuisine in France - and I'm foods, and have had a quite representative sampling of it, French cuisine in Saigon , incl. the best acclaimed restaurants , with few exceptions, is way gastronomically rather below average bistro level in France. This all for 35€ "Business lunch" meal that you simply didn't like Certainly, will not come back in near future, may be after quite some time and it will require an authoritative persuasion to highlight a difference with today state of affair there.More
