The waiter(Ratul) is the main reason I gave 5 stars and also the food impressed just like every other time I’ve been here.

Enjoyed their beef pho here, along with the long donut. The broth was nice although a little too salty, but I and my friend both enjoyed the dinner (she also enjoyed the chicken pho). Recommend this place for those seeking one of HCMC's nice pho...restaurant.More
one of the famous noodle house in this place. lots of vegetables on the side and very tasty noodle soup
Prices are not Vietnamese, it’s actually a bit expensive for Vietnamese standards but the Pho is good. A very clear, non greasy broth, good flavour and generous amount of protein and herbs. Good service and the spring rolls are pretty good. Recommended but a bit...overpriced when compared to other Pho’s in Vietnam.More
It appears that the people who loves this place has very little experience with Pho. This restaurant was definitely one of the best Pho in the 90s but for the last 10 years or so, the quality here has changed. None of the locals would...considered this place as good. I am actually from Vietnam, resides in Orange County, CA, and have many relatives living in Ho Chi Minh City. I love Pho and have eaten a lot of pho in my life. Oh and the gal working on the second floor forgot part of our order and still got it wrong twice. The pho here is decent but overpriced, almost twice as any other pho establishment. Some of the best pho the locals go to include Pho Le and Pho Tau Bay. Do yourself a favor and don't fall for this tourist trap.More
been going here every time i visit HCM & it never fails. i ordered the raw beef pho - thin slices of meat that gets perfectly cooked by the hot broth. my mom got the beef tendon & loved it as well. you can also...personalize the pho - combining different ingredients & price is still the same. even the avocado smoothie is delicious- pure, thick avocado goodnessMore
Enjoyed the light and clear broth here. We have tried quite a lot of pho in Saigon, the broth here is lighter and clear than the typical ones in Saigon, like those in Hanoi, we love the broth here, not much MSG added comparing with...the others.More
If it's not the best, it's darn close to being the best. For decades, this has been a local institution. Prices are reasonable, service pretty good. What else do you want for US$4? So, the experience is 5 stars!
Came here as part of a small tour group, so it's not unknown to tourists, but most of the customers seemed to be local. Cold beer, good quality ingredients (especially the raw beef), great fun adjusting the pho to your own taste. Can't comment on...the price as I'm not familiar with prices elsewhere and I didn't pay!More
This was probably the best Pho soup I’ve ever had! And I’ve had a lot of Pho in my time. :) I had the Pho with raw beef which was sliced perfectly thin so it cooked to a nice tenderness in the hot broth which...was beyond flavourful, so much so it didn’t really even need the extra sauces on the table (although I used them as I love the flavours). My hubby had the chicken noodle which he appeared to inhale. Crispy spring rolls are also a must try.... oh and the ice cold beer went down pretty well too! Really low key place, mostly packed with locals which I find is always a good sign and service was fast and efficient. Highly highly recommend!More
We heard about Pho Hoan Pasteur from our daughter in law who knows we enjoy Vietnamese food. My wife and I have been to just about every Vietnamese restaurant in Edmonton and have settled on a few that meet our expectations. Pho is now at...the top of our list for several reasons. The eatery isn't fancy but that's where it's simplicity ends. We were greeted at the door as soon as we arrived and were taken to a booth. Within just a few moments a server was at our table with a pot of tea and menus. The food selection is very good and features all of the items that good a casual dining Vietnamese restaurant offers. The table was very clean and had a tray with full clean containers of condiments and a supply of chopsticks and napkins. We both selected a 4 item combination on vermicelli. Our food arrived very quickly and our server returned to our table several times to see if were were enjoying our food and if there was anything else we needed. As I mentioned we have eaten at a lot Vietnamese restaurants but now this will be our first choice. The service was great, the food was excellent and the cost was very reasonable. I noticed they had seafood soup which will be my next meal there. Try Pho Hoan Pasteur. You'll like it.More
We went around 8am, it’s already full of people, locals and travellers. We got one raw beef and well done noodles. It’s not bad except that the raw beef is way too small portion even though we ordered a bigger bowl. The soup is good,...environment ok, staff is fine. But it’s definitely not the best pho in town, you may check out my other reviews if u are interested.More
We went with high expectations, having read trip adviser's reviews where this joint is one of the top rated. It turned out to be one of the worst pho we've had. My wife & I had the mixed beef combination pho. The broth was watery...& weak with hardly any beef broth or any broth taste. Worst still, after eating, our mouths were very dry, always an indication of huge amount of MSG as my wife & I are hyper sensitive to MSG. I am not sure what the fuss is all about. Raving reviews of best pho in Ho Chin Minh - this must be a joke. We are now skeptics of all the pho reviews & am not sure if the other shops are worth the effort even looking at. We are fans of Pho & have had outstanding ones over the years. So we know what REAL broth is! Rich, thick almost 'creamy' like as you taste 'unmani' in the soup base. You know when the broth is made with real bones cured for hours & with no compromise. This was just imitation for the uninitiated. So if you are pho fan & your taste buds discerning, don't bother to step foot here & be really skeptical about the pho shop reviews. You'll be much better off eating pho in one of the Vietnamese home cooked restaurant who takes pride in their quality.More
This is on the tourist map but remains an authentic experience. It was slightly intimidating at first as little english is spoken but essentially everything you want apart from the pho is set up on the table already. You eat what you want and pay...for it afterwards. To order the pho - there are menus stuck up everywhere and you point. It was quite the experience and we ended up going back for a second breakfast visit.More
Beef noodle soup so yummy and deliciuos at here, beef stock so warming and sexy, although a little expensixe price
