During my stay in Saigon I had dinner at Mumtaz on three nights. Here's what I think: • Super friendly staff! • Excellent value for money - especially if you choose a Thali! • If you are Western they may not make your food very spicy. If you like it spicy, specifically ask for it! • Relatively slow - but... More

Recommended by family member and met all expectations. Enjoyable, well cooked and presented meal from professional and attentive staff. Quiet retreat from the mayhem of surrounding area. Manager even managed to haggle our tip down at the end.

Needed some variety in our diet after two weeks of traveling. The food was decent, service was fine, and we had no complaints.

This restaurant is located in Bui Vien street in the backpacker area of HCMC. There are about 4-5 Indian restaurants in this street, but Mumtaz is the best one by far. It was probably the best Indian food I have had in HCMC. I would definitely recommend the Kadai Paneer and the non-veg thali. The naans here are fantastic. And... More
