We went here for dinner yesterday after reading some "great reviews" about this restaurant. Wanted to celebrate the beginning of our holidays. Honestly, It was nothing special at all and even tasteless & way too overpriced in my opinion. The service and the setting was kind of nice but too much contrast with the "nothing special" food (that we didn't appreciate... I can't say I'm a massive fan of either George W Bush or former Australian Prime Minister John Howard, but they got it completely right when they decided to come to Tib for dinner. I have had some fantastic meals while on holiday in Vietnam, but this one just kind of knocked it out of the park. The restaurant is... More

A very sad experience indeed. This restaurant was recommended by a friend and either she has awful taste or the quality has dropped. Vastly overpriced food which can be found in many other places with a better atmosphere. We took some visiting clients there and really wish we hadn't. After eating here we took them for some street food which they... More

The restaurant is located next to siam square mall and u have to walk in a dark alley to reach: it feels safe though, I think the restaurant employed people to watch the safety of the alley. This place has a western table set up with square tables and wine glasses. My business associates who brought me there said that... More

Tib restaurant is tucked away in an alley from Hai Ba Trung Street and occupies what could have been an old Saigon patrician house. The decor with massive wooden forniture and old painting hanged on the wall is both classy and decadent. You are usually welcomed by a tall butler like Vietnamese gentleman that adds a touch of vintage. The... More

I know some people really love Vietnamese food, but I am not one of them (was in HCMC on business, not tourism). I can take it or leave it. So after a week that primarily consisted of traditional local cuisine, I was slightly dismayed to see that my hosts had booked yet another "traditional" Vietnamese restaurant for my last night.... I have had a lot of Vietnamese food but this was a really unique experience. Never had food from Hue before and it was really delicious. Highly recommended!

While the name of the restaurant might sound foreign, it offers authentic Vietnamese cuisine. Posted around the restaurant decorated in Chinese decor are photos of U.S presidents and dignitaries worldwide. Overall an upscale restaurant for fine dining (in Vietnam standard).

My girlfriend and I visited HCMC earlier this month and had read good things about this restaurant in the Lonely Plant guide. We stopped by to check opening hours and make a reservation owing our stay being during Tet festival. We were warmly welcomed and found the waiters knowledgable and attentive. Dainty shrimp pancakes to start followed by two great... More
