I came here the first time for my valentine day with my sweet-heart. It was a wonderful night with authentic dishes here. The atmosphere is great, in family style. the service is good with attentive staff while the owner is a french, who is very friendly. We enjoyed the night with absolute delicious dishes. The owner gave my girlfriend a... More

Decided to give this place a try after recommendations from a friend who spent 6 months in the city. The 5 of us were delightfully surprised by the food and good service. The beef bourguignon with foie gras was one of the best that I have ever eaten. We also had French onion soup, escargot, pork stew and tagliatelle with... More

Around the corner from the Renaissance hotel opposite some gaudy American fast food joints is this quaint little French restaurant. When I entered there were a group of middle aged Frenchmen having a lively conversation, as if to add authenticity to the atmosphere on a Friday evening. We had the chacuterie platter, escargots, French onion soup, lamb, sea bass and... More

I decided to give it a try after reading the reviews, but I wasn’t impressed. The service is less than average. The French Onion soup was good, but the flavor of the main dish, duck fillet, is too heavy. Overall, just average.

Saigon sports a large number of French restaurants, often run by a French gentleman that married a Vietnamese. Some are good, some less so. La Fourchette falls in the category of the places where you can be assured to have a good meal. The place can get very crowded especially at lunch time, so reservation can be advised. In my... More

This restaurant is a MUST when in Ho Chi Minh city. The prices are very reasonable and the food is among the best French food I've ever had. The service was personal and friendly.

Fantastic French bistro food. Tuna carpaccio with wasabi and sesame seeds was to die for. Rabbit on pasta was also excellent. Dessert of the day (crumble) also very nice. Red wine by the glass was very good too. Will definitely come back

Two couples went to this fine restaurant and enjoyed a wonderful meal and a fine bottle of wine. We enjoyed the steak, the duck leg confit and the carbonara. The bread was delicious and to end our meal we sampled the chocolate fondant, apple pie and bananas foster. All onus enjoyed our meals and the desert.

Ignore the food snobs on here. The salmon is the greatest, cooked to perfection. And the onion tarte with salad is a delightful, balanced starter to the meal. Nice wine list, excellent service. (Repeat visitor.)

My fiancée and I had dinner here and our experience was way above our expectations. We had the veal tenderloin and duck confit, and both dishes were good. We especially enjoyed the veal tenderloin. The veal was really tender and the mushroom sauce was spot on. The sauce went exceptionally well with the crisp French fries. The service was impeccable,... More
