We had Bahn Xeo (crispy stuffed pancake with extras) at Linh's Kitchen. The waitress could tell we didn't know how to assemble the rolls so she demonstrated (with very little English spoken-but it wasn't required). Lots of smiles. We were very impressed with the food-...and excellent value. We were sitting across the road from the main part of the restaurant. There was an odour in the general area which we decided must have been coming from the nearby drain??. Hope this can be attended to as the food is great.More

Nothing but love for Linh's! So good! Local, cheap, and right in the heart of the Old Quarter. Had a great experience, food quality is really good. Ban Xeo was my favorite.

For starters, the food is not that bad. It's not excellent but it does the job - regular vietnamese cuisine. What's disappointing is the service - it was a disaster, really. I chose a dish I wanted to order in the menu displayed in front...of the restaurant, one of the waitresses was recommending it passionately. When we were inside, the first page of the menu was missing - they thrown it away. I found it on the other table and I ordered chicken. They didn't have it. So I ordered fried rice - nope, not this time. They had only steamed rice with vegetables, so I ordered that and some spring rolls. I was not alone and I received my meal 20 minutes before my companion received his (I think they forgot about it - we had to remind them. And it wasn't easy, because the waitresses barely speak English). Moreover, they don't cook the food on the spot - they bring it from the other side of the street. Waste of time and moneyMore

As with many great food stops in Hanoi, the set up is fairly basic....but you just have to sample the local dish of thin crispy egg pancakes encasing yummy vegetables and choice of meat, to which you add fresh lettuce and herbs, wrap in rice...paper and dip in a bowl of delicious! I can't remember what it was called but you will recognise it on the menu. A treat to eat and only 45000 per plentiful serving.More

The kitchen is opposite the main dining area. We couldn’t get a seat in the dining area and sat upstairs above the chefs and watched them cook. The main dishes seem to a be cook yourself platter of meats either on a bbq arrangement or...a pan. My wife and I had the salads. The food was good and the bill low. With so many restaurants in Hanoi old town it’s is quite hard to find them easily and this one did a grand job.More

Great place with great food. Service was pretty average but the food and how cheap it was made up for it. Would definitely go there again.

Food here is great! We had Vietnamese food and one of the girls of the staff showed us how to eat Vietnamese style. Truly recommend for street food experience!

It was heavily raining when we bumped into this place. We ordered traditional rice noodles, grilled pork and salad in soup (Bun cha) and it was delicious and not expensive. Highly recommended.
