Still good bun cha but the overflow into the street. The amounts have shrunk as has the flavour. But it’s still a good go to

Visited Nay 2019. The food was very good, but unfortunately our experience was ruined by a rude older woman who cleared our table and (we felt) was hurrying us out of the eatery. I have no idea why, given half the tables were vacant, but...her body language and manner was clear. Possibly one of the rudest experiences we have had at an eatery anywhere in the world...and, fortunately, at odds with every other experience we had over our 4 weeks in Vietnam. Perhaps that is why it felt so bad.More

Bun Cha, my beloved Bun cha. For those who do not know it. Imagine having a meal with every mouthful a different delectable taste. The meat is well charcoaled. The veggies are fresh as is the Bun. A very fine noodle. Get used to eating...in a cramped place. That’s just an issue everywhere so fret not. The Nem or spring roll are pretty tasty as well. The broth has a great taste and there always busy, which over here means it’s good food. Enjoy enjoy.More

Make one thing (two really, the nem are delicious also) really well - and the world will find you. The bun cha broth was complex and rich, the meats so well seasoned, with generous heaps of noodles and green herbs. Make sure you get the...nem (spring rolls) also, which are crisp and delicate and the perfect addition to your bowl. One of the rare spots we ate where tourists and local folk eat elbow to elbow. Come early to get a seat inside.More

We came here with a group on the recommendation of a food blogger. The flavors were amazing, and the greens fresh, the beer cold, the spring rolls piping hot. Good enough for a return visit.

My husband and I came here as part of a food tour and it truly blew our minds. The pork is grilled beautifully and the sauce was just right. A very filling and cheap meal, this is the type of place that is frequented by...locals and is worth the walk from the main tourist area. My only regret is that I wasn't able to return for a second bowl before leaving Hanoi.More

This place serves an incredibly delicious bun cha. The meatballs are wrapped in a herb and grilled (something I haven’t encountered at the other bun cha spots), the grilled flavour is strong - it’s a no frills place but if you love Bun Cha, or...Vietnamese food in general, you wouldn’t regret coming here!More

We visited Bun Cha Ta as the first stop on a Hanoi food tour and enjoyed the experience (and being shown by our guide how to eat bun cha properly)! We returned on our last night in Hanoi and were not disappointed, the food was...excellent and not at all expensive and we enjoyed chatting to Thuy and helping her practise her English. A genuine Vietnamese experience!More

My family often have lunch there. The food quality is good with reasonable price. The restaurant is always crowded. The price is around VND35,000 to 50,000 depending on your order (the additional food such as spring rolls). Next to the bun cha is caramel and...ice cream shop. It is delicious and tasty. The cost is very cheap below VND10,000 for one caramel, around VND80,000 for coconut ice cream (putting ice cream into a coconut) The service is occasionally slow because of crowded guesses.More

People rave about bun cha and I wasn’t sold on it after trying it several times- until we came here!!! This bun cha was unlike any other. The broth was perfect- not too sweet or over the top and there was loads of grilled pork....35k is totally reasonable for this. It was packed the whole time we were there with locals. You know it’s good. Make this your bun cha stop in Hanoi!!More

My personal favourite bun cha in Hanoi. The sauce is perfectly balanced, the meat has a wonderful barbecue taste and the portion is very generous for 35k. Nem on the side is a must of course. Very popular place, so better visit outside peak meal...timesMore
