Pho Thin Bo Ho is the Phở restaurant established since 1955 by Mr Thin. From now, Pho Thin Bo Ho has 3 shops in Hanoi and 1 shop in HCM city, that has operated by Mr Thin' sons and daughters. The 1st one is located at 61 Dinh Tien Hoang street, Ha Noi, which has run by my father- mr Thin's 1st son. Pho Thin Bo Ho gets a good standing in Hanoian's heart and also visitors around the world.

Very Interesting Broth (What time are they open ?)

Not sure the accurate operating hours. As the website says that they are open at 0600, I went there for my breakfast but it was closed (It wasn't their off day !) I am not a picky eater but I found this beef pho very unique and would love to try again. The first sip of the broth brought me much fragrance of ginger or lemon glass. I think it is my first time to take that kind of broth for beef Pho. Right next to the pho section, an auntie is sitting to sell deep fried dough sticks. Although I didn't try them, you might want to :) Beef pho and the sticks look a good harmony. They are located in the heart of Hanoi Old Quarter. You should try. It is pity that they have a siesta time. Hopefully they will be open all day long.

If you are a Pho lover, then you absolutely must check out this Pho restaurant. This is highly recommended by my Airbnb host, as well as other local foodie experts. It's a good sign when you see locals only. The place, a hole in the wall or actually in an alley with two long tables, shared table. This place only offers Beef Pho and does it very well! This is the original Pho Thin, the first location. A hole is the wall, situated on an alley. From the moment you walk in, you can smell the aroma of the rich broth and beef permeating the air. The clear broth looks simple however it packs a beefy and flavorful with a perfect balance of spices and seasoning that creates an authentic, one-of-a-kind taste. The beef is tender and generous portion. The noodles are perfectly cooked. Topped with a generous amount of green onions. Make sure to pair it with the Fried donuts and tea from the older man next door and must be paid separately. They have condiments available at the table to customize your taste. The garlic vinegar is great, chili oil paste, sliced chili, and lime. The service is fast, despite the language barrier. Just point out what you want. It's an outdoor dining, on an alley. No AC, just fans. Overall, this Pho restaurant is a must-visit for any food lover.

This is the best Pho we've eaten. It's not in a luxury restaurant, just small and narrow alley opposite to Hoan Kiem Lake. The hot broth was brilliant with fresh beef made a great bow of Pho!

This famous phở establishment occupies a small alley right by Hoàn Kiếm Lake. My bowl of phở is good. If you want to try it, do early in the morning because they will run out of phở by noon.

Taste wise just another average phở. So a big no for the price. You can get that same phở everywhere else in Hanoi for half the price with better seating and service. This one is old but not gold.

Exactly what we were looking for, a place that does one dish & does it well. This place is pumping out delicious beef pho for mainly locals but a few tourists find the laneway and get bustled onto shared tables for a street food experience.

Soft beef and noodle; sweet soup from beef bones makes you love pho Thin at the first taste. The space inside is old like Hanoi in 1955, friendly like your childhood. Pho Thin is the "must-try" when you come to Hanoi

I was brought to the place by a local guy living in the neighborhood. Once you go over our "Western" bias, you open you nose and mouth and start tasting one of the best Pho in town! Simple mix of herbs, boiled and raw beef and an egg yalk. Great moments!

If you are looking for an amazing bowl of pho in an old world environment than this is the place for you. I felt like I was transported back to 1955! I spoke with Thu who I believe is the boss and she told me that the broth is cooked for 20 hours! Delicious cuts of beef and a super clear broth packed with flavour. Heading back again today!

Fantastic pho bo: tender beef, fresh noodles, aromatic vegetables and the best broth! Try it with the chili-garlic vinegar on the tables. Highly recommend!
