This was our dinner on our first night in Hanoi and our very first night in Vietnam. It was an excellent introduction to Vietnamese food, with a variety of Northern dishes. We really enjoyed everything that we tried. The staff were excellent and of course...the views speak for themselves.More

While waiting for train to Sapa, we decided to have our last dinner in Hanoi at Cau Go Restaurant. It was a right decision. The atmosphere is beautiful and tranquil, the food was good, and the waitstaff was very nice. That’s not counting the nice...location, looking down the famous Hoan Kiem lake. Recommended!More

This delightful establishment occupies two floors at the top of a building overlooking the central lake, which houses a number of bars and restaurants, including a Cantonese place downstairs and a beer bar. During a two and a half week trip to SE Asia (Thailand,...Vietnam, Laos) we had no better meal. Tofu with lemon grass and chili, pork and shrimp spring rolls, clams wth chili and , best of all, wonderful soft shell crabs. Beer and red wine. Not cheap but not outrageous either. Perhaps the manager should not solicit favourable comment on Trip Advisor. For those for whom this sort of thing matters the next King of England but one (Prince William or Duke of Cambridge) has dined here.More
