We had a short stay in Hanoi and ended up visiting this restaurant for our final lunch. As other reviewers have noted, it is definitely worthwhile to go when you arrive, so that you can return. We enjoyed a very simple meal of beef pho...the soup was absolutely delicious and flavourful. We shared a chocolate cake with orange sauce for... More

My friend and I decided to visit this restaurant after seeing the reviews on trip-advisor and I must they were completely accurate! The food was beautifully cooked and prepared in good time, definitely worth the money! Disappointed we didn't have time to go back before leaving the city 😩 On a side note because the restaurant is so popular you... More

My family and I love trying new restaurants in and around Hanoi and often feel disappointed by the service or the food was just "UH!" But then we found the Gourmet Corner in Lo Su street. I saw the name and thought "Yeah right, gourmet!" but I was not just presently surprised, I was delighted to find a true gourmet... More

Recommend you book here early in your trip as the food is awesome and you'll want to return! We came here 3 times. Location was brilliant, views and sunset fabulous. We ate so many things on the menu - they were all amazing! Photo is of the beef with hot stones (so good). They were really attentive but still gave... More

We ate here on our first night in Vietnam and the food was absolutely amazing. It was a great start to our holiday. Our meals were delicious, well presented and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend this restaurant.

We had the shrimp spring rolls as a starter and the "bo om soi" (beef marinated) and the sneakehead fish as main courses. All dishes were delicious! Is a great place to taste vietnamese food; however, they also offer some european food. The views to the city and to the lake are lovely as the restaurant is located on the... More

Our 'host' for the night Kristian was very friendly, knowledgeable and helping us choose our food with the recommendation of the set menu. The food was delightful and although a little bit on the expensive side for Hanoi, great value for money for the quality of food delivered. A great way to end our last night of our Vietnam holiday... The views from the restaurant are a real winner, so try and go early. The food was good and reasonably priced. Our waiter was lovely but was very unsure of things, so things were a little slow and confused at times.

Dear Enrique P, Thank you a ton for your excellent review about your most recent visit to the Gourmet Corner. I am excited to read that you so highly rated our Chef's new signature dish. In fact, our chef combined and refined the recipes of the two oriental dishes (Vietnamese-Chinese) into this single dish hence raising it up to a... More

Really nice restaurant, great interior and fantastic service. Food was excellent - we had Vietnamese dishes which were all very tasty, and much better than other dishes we had in Hanoi. We expected it to be more expensive; for starters, mains, and beers for 2 people we paid around $30 (although admittedly we probably had some of the cheaper dishes).... More

Located on the top floor of Elegance Diamond hotel, the Gourmet Corner restaurant boast the finest view of Hanoi from the 12th floor, overlooking Hoan Kiem Lake, the Red River and the ever-growing skyline of Hanoi. The Gourmet Corner food menu is the combination of Vietnamese and some Western favorites. Our Vietnamese food options mostly are the dishes from the North. In northern Vietnam, a colder climate limits the production and availability of spices. As a result, the foods are often less spicy than those in other regions, especially the middle part of Vietnam. Black pepper is used in place of chili as the most popular ingredient to produce spicy flavors. Also, coriander is used commonly in most dishes. In general, northern Vietnamese cuisine is not bold in any particular taste - sweet, salty, spicy, bitter, or sour. Most northern Vietnamese foods feature light and balanced flavors that result from subtle combinations of many different flavoring ingredients.
