Someone recommended this place and we were not disappointed. Extremely busy when we arrived for dinner and slightly apprehensive when they took us through the kitchen up some narrow stairs to a couple of empty rooms. It didn't take long that these rooms became full. Service was quick and food was typical Vietnamese food that was delicious. Everything we expected... More

After the reviews here and recommendation from Lonely Planet we tried this place. Staff and service were good. We ordered 3 dishes. All were gloppy , bland. They had obviously been sitting around, nothing was freshly cooked, not a fresh herb in site. No texture or taste, all slimy and could not tell difference between them. Very disappointed. Had better... More

First night in Hanoi and wanting something authentic but not yet brave enough to go for a street food vendor we tried our luck at New Day, having seen some good reviews. Our guide had suggested we try Five Spice, which was close to our hotel so we went there first. The restaurant was full of large groups so we... More

A nice place to eat. Mix of local and tourists but more tourists. Nice range of dishes on menu. Reasonable prices.

Very tasty restaurant. It's very popular with a big turn over of people coming and going. The food comes out very quickly after you order. I got the chicken curry which was excellent. Very reasonably priced would definitely recommend a visit if passing.

We ate here twice, it's a busy restaurant but we had no problems both times getting in. The prices are cheap and the food depending on what you order range from good to average. Try the freshwater shrimp for a good beer drinking companion, the water spinach (khang khong) was good as was the Hanoi spring rolls. The claypot chicken... More

The food is just not it. Chicken curry came more skin than actualy chicken. Fried fish came way too salty. Also cocktails that taste like medicine. Save your time and money- go somewhere else.

Came here on a lonely planet recommendation and were amazed by the quality of the food and how cheap it is! It was packed when we walked by so didn't think we'd get a table but the staff will always find room for you so you can find yourself sitting with anyone! Spring rolls were delicious and there was a... More

The restaurant serves great local food with various choices. All the dishes we tried were fresh and full of flavor. Service was quick and really helpful. Prices are fantastic value for money.
