I randomly stopped by this restaurant one night and enjoyed a nice meal. I later asked a local where to go for dinner and he suggested this place. I went back and ordered the fried ginger chicken. It's now my favorite. I have ordered it from other placed and they can't beat it here. I will be back!

Went here because of the mention in the lonely planet guide. Fantastic food, cheap and befriended some other backpackers. If you are going around the old quarters and want somewhere to sit down and have a nice meal, this is a must go!

We had a great time here. The food was delicious. It is a loud, noisy place but really nice. We set at a long table and they put people with you at the table. We did not mind. Great food, great price.

It doesnt look much from from the front but serves amazing Vietnamese food for such a small bill. We even had to go through the kitchen to get to our table! Full of locals so you know the food is good.

This place was totally tasty, it just wasn't exactly what we were looking for. It does seem to have some typical (or what I have come to think of as typical) Vietnamese food like papaya salad and spring rolls, but it also has a lot of food that is more similar to what I think of when I think of... This is probably one of the best restaurants I've tried so far in Hanoi. The food are tasty at reasonable price (probably $5/pax). It's always crowded, especially at dinner time and weekend. Highly recommend for tourists who'd like to eat authentic Vietnamese food.

New Days food has been the best and the cheapest food that we have had in Hanoi. No wonder it's recommended in all the guidebooks. This place is always busy but they find you a table if you just ask.

This place is really yum. Really busy so I can see how some people have mentioned that they have to wait for a seat. We got seated outside which added to experience. Definitely try the green papaya salad! Good value for money - for four of us including beers and 6 dishes (not including rice) it came to $19 USD... More

Shared a hot pot with friends and really enjoyed it. Flavors were good and tasty. Would recommend to anyone wanting to try hot pot.
